GIOIA Pizzeria is a cozy spot that serves delicious pizza slices. While the external environment and parking may not be ideal, the delicious and reasonably priced slices make it a must-try. The pizza has a light, crisp crust and a zesty sauce, and the well-sourced cheese and sauce show a clear passion for the art of pizza making. Some customer favorites include the plain cheese slice, the Julian, the seasonal broccolini & ricotta pizza, and the meatball and chicken parm sandwiches. The crust is super light and crispy, and the Salsiccia has a little kick from the jalapeños, which complements the meaty sausage chunks. Customers can pick up their slices hot or cold, and the service is fast and friendly. The location is fabulous for other food shopping, but customers should leave plenty of time to stand in line if visiting during dinner time. Whole pies are great to bring home as they can be ordered par-cooked, and the meatballs are a favorite, even when sold cold.
