I tried out Humbowl today with my family. I was hesitant with some reviews being subpar but I went for it.
My cousin and I enjoyed it! I have the Thai coconut bowl. The veggies were fresh and tasty (not sad like some reviews said). I got it with the bean medley and loved it! I love when restaurants feature beans because they are underrated sources of protein and so delicious!!
My cousin got a chicken veggie bowl. It came with pesto. I tasted the pesto and wanted to steal it and eat it all. So tasty.
I highly recommend this place. It’s got fresh tasty veggies, great protein options, nicely cooked along with the rice quinoa blend and great flavors.

The bowls were really good, just be aware that the toppings add up quickly. Tofu + Avocado will currently add $3.50 to the meal. Otherwise, really impressed and tasty meal! While I wish it was all vegan, since they serve chicken & shrimp it's not a bad place to go with omni friends who have vegan-phobia.

Prepare to be amazed! At Humbowl u will be served food that looks and tasts like an old sack of microwave vegetables and tofu. Save yourself the saddness and go to your local coner store and pick up some ramen, a meal u can actually eat.

The food was excellent. The flavors tasted fresh, the food felt fresh to the tongue and it was visually appealing. I had the Torarashi 2.0 with the 2 eggs on top. It was delicious! The cilantro vinaigrette was just right. There was just the right amount of tartness from the vinegar, which added the needed pop to the vegetables and rice quinoa blend. The food is sautéed to order. Therefore, it is not soggy from sitting. It is crisp and fresh. I wish I had discovered this earlier. The service was a little rough. It appeared that there was some training going on; I hope. The online menu needs to be updated. They seem to be only serving the first two pages of the printed menu. When I asked for the garlic shrimp bowl, I was met with a stare, then after some discussion in the back, someone finally came forward saying what I showed them is an old menu. Go by the photo of the menu board. I am definitely going back. Parking is difficult as it is street parking on a very busy street

This place got good reviews so I drove to Berkeley thinking Humbowl was going to be healthy, clean vegan food. The atmosphere was nice but what I saw happening behind the counter turned me off. I saw two cooks and one had their cell phone right on a cutting board. He was touching it while preparing food. Cell phones harbor a lot of bacteria. This is not sanitary. If your hands are coming in contact with your phone while your chopping vegetables then bacteria with undoubtedly get on the food. I was so grossed out that I left and went to a different restaurant down the street. I just read the lower star reviews and see that someone else commented on the cleanliness as well.

Humbowl catered my wedding in October 2024! My husband and I couldn't be happier.
Eric (one of the owners) let us do a free tasting, made a custom sauce for us, and was able to accommodate lots of vegetarians and vegans. They worked within the confines of the venue with no issues.
They had never done a wedding before, but you couldn't tell at all. Humbowl was friendly, professional, organized, fast, and priced well. We got tons of compliments on the food; it was fresh and delicious.

This is a rare spot that doesn’t break the bank but has healthy, tasty, feel good meals similar to what you might cook at home if you’re an avid healthy meal prepper. I got the your wellness bowl and it was delicious, portions were very generous but I still scarfed it all down. All fresh/whole food ingredients and the ginger tahini sauce was satisfyingly creamy while still tasting light. I added the chicken and it was nice and juicy and tender. The workers there were really nice too. Will definitely return when the need for quick healthy lunch strikes again!
