This place is crazy good. The Char Siu is the star of the show, the BBQ Brisket Noodle is delicious and the veggies are very good. When we have foodies in from out of town, we get takeout from KaoKao grill. It's something special.
The char siu pork is incredibly tender. The cold noodles with peanut sauce and chili oil had plenty of sauce and were perfectly cooked. The bbq brisket noodles with soup was delicious, the broth was amazing and the meat and noodles were also cooked perfectly. The staff was working tirelessly and were very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Good service. We had the BBQ brisket noodles and the egg plant salad with a side of rice. Everything was very flavorful although a tad salty. The brisket was very tender and delicious and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The sauce on the egg plant has a delicious nutty and mildly spicy flavor.

I’ve been here three times already! I went twice with my wife, and we both loved the char siu set and the BBQ brisket noodle soup. The soup was super flavorful! The char siu set is seriously some of the best pork you can find in the Bay Area, especially if you’re looking for a laid-back vibe. The only thing is that it can take a bit of time for your food to arrive, but it’s totally worth it!
Ordered takeaway from here - got the char siu and green beans! Both were excellent. The only drawback is that it took a while for our order (about 35 min). Definitely recommend calling ahead and getting takeout if you live in the area!

Cute little restaurant. We ordered cucumber salad, bbq chicken set and bbq char siu set. Everything tastes so good. Very very high food quality. A lot of flavors. The spicy and numbing cucumber salad is the BEST I have had in the US. Not exaggerating.
It’s counter service and they have discounts for cash. Staff is very friendly. Great neighborhood restaurant for everyday eats. Would come back again when we are in Berkeley next time.
