Rosemary loaf was lovely, love the chewy crust. Wish it were more sour but I'm sure that comes down to personal preferences
So good. Fresh artisanal bread. Carefully selected grains. One of life’s great pleasures.

I’ve been buying Eduardo Morell’s bread at the Berkeley farmers market for roughly a decade and still can’t make it back to my car without ripping hunks off to devour on the spot. If you want to know what truly traditional San Francisco sourdough tasted like when individual artisans developed the craft before of the modern food industrial complex co-opted it, make the pilgrimage to Morell’s bakery or to the farmers market or just pick up a loaf at Monterey Market. My favorite is the loaf that uses local, whole-grain wheat.
I tried Morell's Bread for the first time today. It's just so delicious! Keep in mind this location is only open on Wednesdays. Very convenient, I ordered bread on their website on Tuesday evening, and at 8:30 am on Wednesday I picked up warm bread for breakfast. Yummy!
Beautiful gorgeous bread! We are so lucky they are here- no one makes bread like Morell’s. The Sesame Is my absolute favorite.

Picked up a Multigrain and a Rye bread at the Berkeley's Farmer's Market on Saturdays. So so good. Every time I get a loaf of artisan bread, I slice it, freeze it and enjoy it for the week.I am a rye bread (the hearty, dense kind) lover and Morell's rye bread was really good. I've tried several rye breads in the Bay Area, and so far I like Anna Daughter's Rye and Morell's the best! They're both a little different but both more than adequately fill the rye bread hole in my life. Also, the Multigrain was great. The more you have it, the more you love it. I notice that whole wheat sourdoughs tend to lend a more savory profile, so keep that in mind!'Sourdoughs' aren't and don't necessarily have to be sour. And it's been a while since I've had a lovely tart (just right) loaf and Morell's provided that! So good. The ingredients in his breads are either entirely or mainly whole grain i.e. nutritionally superior. This is one of the reasons why I love Morell's breads a lot! Good food = taste + nutrition. Thank you for making amazing, healthy bread.Update: Got a chance to try the seasonal scone (orange and apple scone). The scones are made with whole grain which is amazing. Loved it. Don’t pass up on the scones.
Very good bread, both chewy and crusty. Yum!!!
The best! I'm very particular about what I eat and everything they make is delicious. I buy it every week.
Excellent bread and baguette. They are not often opened and don't have many choices, so just pick anything and you won't regret it!!
We bought some loaves from Eduardo at the Berkeley Farmer’s Market, a country batard and a twisted baguette. He was kind and taught us about his bread, and the bread was amazing. So good. Nutty, light, so good.
