When you're visiting a bakery that claims to be French, I guess it's a good sign when you see patrons speaking French with someone who appears to be a manager or owner. While I can't vouch for how well the items here stack up against what you'd expect to find at a classic boulangerie or patisserie in France, I can say that there's so much too choose from - all of it delightfully delectable. Thank you Yelp for letting me know about this incredible French bakery near my home. The hours are limited but luckily they are now open on Fridays and Saturdays. On my WFH Friday, I snuck out for a pastry break and had the best chocolate and hazelnut croissant ever. It's flaky without being too buttery. I wish I had bought a second one to indulge in but don't worry, I'll be back soon.

This is my secret heaven. But it's so good, it's not a secret anymore. Ironically, not too many people know about it. It's a secret deserved your be told. I'll outright say it, I think it's the best French bakery in the east bay for sweets. The kouign-amann with Nutella and apple filling is to die for. The cookies are great.
