Such a precious treasure I happened to stumble upon today. I had an avocado and cheese sandwich that was delicious with homemade chai. Nina is the sweetest auntie, she gave a free dessert to try. I felt so welcomed here.

The chai is so good here!! I also got the croissant with egg, cheese, and avocado (spicy) and it was delicious!! Highly recommend. My friend got the burrito and said it was similarly very good. They had really good wifi too and it was a great place to work and study, will def be coming back! Nina is the nicest too fr

I love it here! Found this little gem today. Met Nina, my gosh is she a wonderful woman. 🤩

I took my friends (stuffies 🤣) out for a snackie and some connection with a fellow member of the human race.

I took many photos of our outing!

Nina's, a warm and comfy cafe nestled in the block-long ActivSpace building in West Berkeley, is a fine place to visit for snacks and full-out meals served with Bangladesh relish by Nina herself. Mainstay menu items include Breakfast Burritos, Curry, Soup, Salads, Tasty Sandwiches, and Savory Sweet Pastries. Drinks include Homemade Chai, Smoothies, and Espresso. The art-covered walls and crafted wooden furniture provide an inviting gathering spot — with additional seating outdoors on sunny days.

Delicious food and a lovely owner who makes each interaction feel personal, like you're over at her house for a meal! I stopped in for lunch and because I was looking for a cafe to do some work. I was amazed at the selection Nina offered, and settled on some homemade chai and lentil soup (a famous recipe apparently!) The soup was hot and extremely flavorful and the chai was perfect for a chillier winter day. The wifi in the cafe is strong and it was a welcoming spot to work for a few hours. I also asked Nina for some of her pastries to take to a potluck, and she was beyond accommodating. She gave me an assortment of veggie and chicken savory rolls and samosas along with special dips for each, and a box for easy transport and serving (you can tell she's a seasoned caterer). The food disappeared in minutes at my Cal Sailing potluck, a testament to her delicious cooking. I can't wait to go back!

Lovely little spot with great Dirty Chais and a cozy vibe. The owner is very kind and helpful. The grilled cheese tastes just like mom used to make.

I have been a regular customer at Nina’s Café for quite some time and always found Nina to be a sweet and kind individual. However, during one visit, a conversation about my background changed everything. When I shared that I was from Israel, her demeanor shifted noticeably.

While I didn’t expect her to treat me any differently, what happened next was shocking. As I ate my meal, I discovered a large piece of glass in my food. I cannot say for certain how it got there, but the circumstances left me feeling deeply unsettled.

This experience has shaken my trust in the establishment. I believe in treating all customers with dignity and respect, regardless of their background. I can no longer recommend Nina’s Café and encourage others to be cautious.

Great small cafe with homey atmosphere. Has the typical cafe fair(coffee, tea, sandwiches, pastries, snacks etc) and the owner's own ethnic south east Asian(Bangladesh) dishes. Nina is amazing and very hospitable!

Loved the chai and sweet potatoe hash brown. Next time I’ll try the bean samosa!
