Best beef noodle soup around Berkeley campus. Too bad they close at 8pm and dont have a lot of seating. Always a line coming out of the store because of how good the food is. 10/10

Stopped here for lunch while in the area exploring and saw the line out the front. We figured it must be good if people are willing to wait.

We jumped in the line and waited about 1 hour to get a seat for a table of 4. It was a busy Sunday afternoon. We were not sure if waiting was going to be worth the meal but I would definitely say it was. My wife and I enjoyed it and so did the kids.

We got the chicken fried rice some gyoza a beef soup and a beef and rice bowl. Every bit of the meal was great. The fried rice was simple but full of flavour. The gyoza were fat and fresh, the beef was nice and tender and the soup was rich in flavour and very large in size. We had plenty to take home with us. This place is busy for a reason, great food and great serving sizes

Get in the que it's worth it!!

The Beef Noodle Soup instantly brought me back to China with the very first bite. The noodles are impeccable, springy, flavorful, and truly authentic. Yes, the lines can get long, but it’s absolutely worth the wait.

This place is both the best value and simply best tasting noodle soup far and wide. Learned it’s a family owned restaurant too!

This place is extremely popular. The food is top notch, but it feels really cramped and rushed.

This Chinese noodle spot is as authentic as it gets—every bowl bursts with the flavors and aromas you’d expect from a busy noodle shop in China. The broth is rich and comforting, with layers of flavor that speak to hours of patient simmering. Whether you go for beef, pork, or something vegetarian, the noodles are always fresh, springy, and perfectly paired with the soup.

The staff are warm and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The environment is inviting, with a casual charm that makes you want to linger just a little longer after your meal. Prices are very reasonable, especially for Berkeley, and the portions are generous enough to satisfy even the hungriest student.

A word of advice—arrive early. This place is no secret, and the line forms fast, every single day. It’s a favorite among Berkeley students for good reason, and once you try it, you’ll understand why.

In short, it’s the kind of restaurant you’ll find yourself daydreaming about long after the last spoonful of broth. Authentic, affordable, and absolutely worth the wait.

[longtime student opinion]

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Berkeley, and typically where I would bring visiting friends. Amazing noodle soup, very fair prices. This reflects in the restaurants' popularity, so be prepared to wait in a long line during busy school dinnertimes.
