Spent seven dollars on a latte. I mean clearly overpriced but I still paid a 20% tip even though these people aren’t busting their chops waiting on tables like actual waiters and waitresses do.

Went to use the bathroom and the whole floor was covered with urine. Those seat cover things were completely out, so I guess we are all forced to basically hover over the toilet because there’s nothing to protect our behinds from getting other people’s germs.

I very politely let one of the staff members in the front know about this, and I even told them that I knew it had nothing to do with them and that it wasn’t their fault and they still acted rude to me about it. All I was trying to suggest was that like their higher up people should try to make some positive changes to make the bathroom less gross. The staff member that I told this to acted like I had like somehow personally offended her, even though I wasn’t rude at all, and never blamed her.

Avoid this place at all costs. Overpriced and staff act like they don’t even care. If they aren’t fit to work in customer service and have basic skills in that department, then I don’t know why they’re working at a coffee shop honestly. It just comes across as entitlement. Plenty of people who are better suited for the job would gladly take their places.

I walked over for some beans (½ & ½ mocha Java and Sumatra) and had my complimentary coffee upgraded to a small Moka. They were out of Sumatra and Casey graciously offered me a comparison of bean aromas. All good but I chose the Yosemite which may become a new favorite. So nice to get this personal attention and innovative solution to finding a replacement!

I’ve been coming to Peach Coffee in Berkeley for a while now, and I usually stop here whenever I’m in town visiting my girlfriend. Most of the time, the staff has been friendly and the experience has been solid, which is why this visit really caught me off guard. I don’t believe an entire business should be judged off one employee or one bad day but this experience was genuinely frustrating.

I ordered a drink and a warmed pastry. I received my drink first, which was fine, but after waiting several minutes I mentioned that I was still waiting on my pastry. The employee told me she’d get it right away and walked over to the oven. While I was standing there, I watched her place five other orders into the oven before even starting mine. Those orders were then handed out, and she came back to ask me what I had ordered even though my order was already on display and had just been discussed.

I told her I ordered a Danish, and she repeatedly asked me if I wanted it warmed at least five times even after I clearly said yes each time. Despite this, she continued putting other orders into the oven before mine. At this point, I had already been waiting over 15 minutes for a simple pastry, while having received my drink 5–10 minutes earlier.

What made this more confusing is that I was the first person in line, and everyone who ordered after me had already left. The store wasn’t busy, and there was no crowd waiting for pickups, yet multiple orders were handled before mine even after she acknowledged my order more than once.

The attitude, tone, and lack of urgency were disappointing. It felt like there was very little care given to simply completing my order and getting me on my way. Normally, I’ve always received food first at cafés, or at least everything together, so this experience didn’t make much sense. Unfortunately, this experience was frustrating enough that I won’t be returning to this location.

everyone at 4th street peets is so friendly, and the coffee is dependably good.

They make you wait for a simple brewed coffee even though they could pour it while you pay. Pretty much every other coffee shop handles this without slowing you down.

Stopped in to grab a matcha latte and although it was busy we experienced great service. Jess at the register was super friendly and moved people through checkout quickly. The latte was decent, it was light on the matcha. The environment was busy and didn’t serve well for the group waiting for drinks, but the drinks came out fairly promptly considering the line of in person and online orders.

Very bad customer service. Ordered a drink with no ice because it’s cold outside. They gave me half the cup and said that’s what u ordered. Had the same order at another Peet’s location and gave me whole cup which I paid for but here customer service is rude.

This is on 6 June around 7:12pm. I ordered sparkling peach matcha. It was 6.50 bucks and I requested it without ice. I didn’t realise they would give me half the size of the medium cup on the account of making it without ice. This drink doesn't contain any dairy nor sweeteners or artificial favours to add. Any other places you go for usually fills up almost the whole cup or at least more than half of it. But I feel like they really did me wrong with the quantity of the drink here. The young barista lady also could have learnt some manners. When I asked shocked “if this was it, she said, “this is what you ordered”. Making that face was not necessary.

The place is usually a mess, dirty mugs and counters. I asked a person to clean the sugar station and Salem (barista) gave me a look and asked the coworker what I wanted. She's loud talking to coworkers and not friendly to customers.

I have always liked the 4th. Street shops and neighborhoods and the investment in new shops.

There is always a long line for the bathroom it is ridiculous. How or why they got away with a single stall in such a busy location is beyond me.

I came to this location on fourth street the staff very rude. The vibe was terrible and made my coffee experience here awful.
