Convenient location in the heart of the small 4th street shopping district. This one wins because they have a lovely outdoor patio with umbrellas and tables and chairs for folks to congregate at. There are a few seats inside as well. There is one bathroom and it is heavily trafficked as one of the few available to 4th street patrons. Loads of free parking nearby.

Peets makes the best cortado ever!! And the staff here are all fun happy people. And it’s always super clean.

This place is amazing! The staff doesn't discriminate against weird people like myself! The service is awesome! And I definitely owe them one! Which is why I'm giving them an all 5 star review! Thank you staff of peetes coffee! You've really given me hope in humanity again!

Pretty busy location but they kept the line moving well. The set up of the shop is a little confusing and maybe not the best for accommodating lots of guests. There's plenty of outdoor seating though. The coffee quality is also up to standard compared to other Peet's locations ?

Boy, talk about extra Prime location. This place was poppin' before, during and after our stop! Hubbers and I (with pup in tow) did our brisk walk around the area and we decided on a drink before heading home. It was a unusually warm East Bay day (which was kinda nice, especially for the season) so I felt like an iced matcha latte. Hubbers went for his usual regular latte. It took a minute before we found seating outside (it really does get crowded here!) but once we settled down, I went in for our drinks. Line was, as expected, also long, but servers got to us in no time. I also got a piece of their butter almond croissant to maybe elevate the experience a bit. FOOD (and drinks): 4. SERVICE: 4. Although there was very little interaction (understood - they were busy!) every staff member hustled to make sure everyone for their stuff as quickly as possible! VALUE: 3. Pretty average. PARKING: Street and public parking lots. Always ALWAYS an issue in this part of Berkeley. Plan ahead. OVERALL: 3.75. Good first stop! Might make another one should I find myself here sometime in the future.

Everything is great here. Except the bathroom, I don't understand why the management doesn't care to change the faucet, it doesn't work properly for more than two years now!

Please Tip the young man with dreads playing jazz guitar in front every weekend, he is a local legend who plays excellent high quality music. Thank you Berkeley (:

Went here to get Peet’s for the first time in almost two years as I was abroad. Super excited, I ordered my favorite Black Tie - perfectly sweetened and wakes you up. Baristas were friendly as always! Then, I got my drink and my first sip was pure disappointment :-( It didn’t taste like coffee at all but water with condensed milk. The ice looked like it had been melting/smaller, so I was a bit confused. Cold brew is usually strong in terms of flavor and caffeine, which was not the case this time. Even the condensed milk overtook the color of the coffee (?). Sad!! 5 bucks for milky water was not the way I wanted to get back to Peet’s! However, I’m still hopeful and will update when I go again - hopefully with a better experience!Parking: Parking lot available for the whole shopping area, but spots are hard to find when it’s crowded (like weekends). Weekend late afternoon/evening is best!Kid-friendliness: There was a parent and kid chilling there each working on their own thing (parent with laptop, kid with their hw) with coffee and a snack! It was so sweet!

My opinion is that my dark chocolate mocha is not as good anymore. Depending on the Peet's, they are not all consistent!

I would take a Peets cappuccino over any other, wherever I can find one. Mr. Peet brought fine coffee to the US, and it shows.

Nina and I came here this afternoon because the Smith Dobson jazz trio was playing right in front. First we sat on the walls by the band and then we decided to take a spot at one of the tables on the patio when one became available. It was a lovely, warm day and we needed the shade the umbrellas provided. While Nina held down the table I went in to buy her a coffee and me a tea to justify our presence on the patio. I was interested in a cookie, but the barista didn't hear me when I asked for it so Nina went in after I brought out the drinks and got one for us to share. The music was excellent and it was a great spot for people and dog watching. I even got into a lovely conversation w/ a young couple from New Zealand visiting family here, prompted by a shirt I was wearing that I had bought when we were in New Zealand 20 years ago. When I went to write this review I was surprised to discover I hadn't yet written one for this location. I have bought tea in bulk and by the cup here over the years and have used their bathroom but never wrote a review. Well, now I have.
