I've been here for a variety of friends' birthdays, post-conference shenanigans, etc, and I'm always a fan of Raleigh's ambiance and drinks! One of my favorite drinks has to be the Blackberry Bramble cocktail - an $8 whiskey blend with blackberries, mint, lime, and some syrup. Raleigh's was an institution but today it seems that no one really cares about it. It's sad because it would just be another 3 star restaurant not worth reviewing. The heights from which it has fallen make it a two star experience, a love once lost and now has gone astray. It is dirty in a way unbecoming to Berkeley and the service is nonchalant in a non-ironic and lame kind of way. Raleighs, come back to us.
Raleigh's is really fun especially for taco Tuesday! I personally think the tacos were average - the tortillas were way too hard and the meat wasn't juicy enough. I did like the fish taco because it wasn't oily which I appreciated! Tacos are $2 each during Tues happy hr which was great and beer is $5.
