I came by at 7:37 am today (Wednesday, 6/21/23), but they were not open. Oh well. I will return again at some point, because I got coffee here prior to the pandemic and they have great coffee! I'm giving three stars today because Yelp requires me to give some kind of star rating; but, clearly I cannot honestly give 5 stars at this time, so I'll just give 3. The hours on Yelp, and on Rasa's webpage, state that Rasa is open at 7:30 am, but it seems that info is outdated. There was a sign on the window saying they are closed for renovations. My understanding is that the original location, which is just next door, is closed for renovations. But apparently the temporary location is also closed for renovations? Anyway, they were not open when I came to their window at 7:37am. There was no noise, either, indicating that maybe someone was inside getting things ready.

$8 for a 12 oz dirty chai, a little expensive for me and foam not impressive… but taste is on point. Really amazing spicy chai flavor with just the right amount of espresso. Yum! Temporary location (I’m guessing) a little loud & busy. I would come back. ?

Needed to p*** my brains out but did not have a toilet. Good thing the coffee tasted good. As I was clenching my cheeks harder than Hercules pushing the Boulder up the hill I took a sip of the coffee and all my worries went away. They went away because I, a raging lactose intolerant degenerate, realized I forgot to ask for oat milk in my coffee. You can guess what happened next; the mustiest, dustiest, stankiest of all sharts. Coffee 5/5, bathroom 0/5.

The Rasa coffee is decent, having a gentle spiced flavor. Don’t come here with expectations of strong spices and coffee like I did, the flavors are more mellow. The chai has good spice, but almost no tea flavor at all. I recommend the coffee over the tea.

What an invigorating day! Not sure if it's the cool winter breeze mixed with the gift of a warm January sun or this absolutely amazing Golden Latte Rasa Caffe just made for me (I'll go with the latter)... Either way, hands down, so happy I made a U-turn and came back to visit! This Golden Latte is perfectly balanced and has the most amazing citrus notes that litteraly embrace all of your taste buds! Give it shot! It's amazing! Thanks a million!

The sweet rose latte works really well. I totally expected the coffee to be overpowering but the rose is certainly center stage and the coffee provides a beautiful backdrop

From a hole in the wall space, to now a hole in the wall through which you order your drink, this treasure is easy to miss, and yet it is on my shortlist of places I visit nearly every time I'm back in town. It is helpful that it's at the southern gateway of the city when you come in from Oakland either from the freeway at MLK or arriving by BART. There is almost always a spot out front. I think the rose water and saffron makes an excellent base latte even better. And they've been making this drink for a long time so the syrup isn't overpowering. I've honestly never bothered trying anything else but my friend who likes Chai said she went two days in a row after trying it.

I love this café a lot. Their coffee and specialty drinks are fantastic. I have yet to try one of their pastries, but I usually just get the Rasa Coffee, it’s a tad sweet, plus is has cardamom and cinnamon; my favorite so far. Staff is wonderfully friendly. One outdoor table with some chairs is great if you want to hang for a moment.

Never bitter. Excellent service. Great neighborhood feel. I appreciate enforcement of masks in tight spaces. Close to Bart and other neighborhood necessities.
