This place is definitely one of the most slept on boba shops in Berkeley. I've never had a bad experience with any of my drinks (even though I've order about 30+ times by now) and have genuinely enjoyed them all. They actually use real fruit in their fruit teas and it tastes much better and not at all artificial unlike many neighboring boba shops. Their milk teas also do not taste powdery whatsoever and instead really refreshing. Truthfully, I find it hard to finish some milk teas from other boba places due to their formula but have never felt this way about Sancha Bars'. Their pearls are also really well cooked and have the perfect amount of honey. My absolute favorites are the White Peach Green Tea & the Matcha Green Milk Tea!

It's has a great/unique selection of tastes flavors and toppings. They also have a student discount which is smart considering how close to campus they are! What gets me to come back however is also the service because no matter who's working everyone's alway seems happy to speak with you!

This review is long over do but def come here if you love boba and fruity drinks (my review is solely for the drinks since I got it thro uber eats Drinks: I've tried both the peach and pineapple smoothie drinks with boba and they r super authentic and fruit like. They taste like the actual fruit and are both not too sweet but still really good. Personally I think the boba is too chewy/hard for my taste but it's in no way stale

I've tried their House Special Milk Tea & Lychee Rose Green Tea, and I'd order them again. Their boba is sweet, chewy, and not stale like other places. Adjustable drink sweetness and ice level. Didn't take more than a few minutes with no one in line. $0.50 discount for students. Interior is clean with soft music (usually Taylor Swift) playing. Lots of two seater tables with comfy purple seating. As of writing this, this place doesn't seem to have that much foot traffic, so you'll never have to wait in those other absurd lines.

This place is so good! I've tried the lychee rose green tea, mango green tea, matcha milk tea and roasted oolong and they were all delicious. Love that you can adjust the sweetness and ice level, as I like my drinks just a tad sweet. This place is low key and staff is very friendly. This is so much better than other boba places in the area. It's usually quiet when I go in and that's because you wouldn't know it's there unless you're looking for it. My suggestion to management would be to lighten up the decor. From the outside it looks very dark and unwelcoming. If you create a more welcoming and open space I'm sure you will grab more attention and more people can enjoy your amazing drinks!

After grabbing a delicious snack from Tender Greens, we walked down to a convenient boba shop to grab some drinks. My girlfriend previously bookmarked this place and I really wanted to check it out! Well, to my surprise, when we got the grass jelly milk tea, it was blue on the top and milky on the bottom. Pros: -Well combination -Nice amount of sweetness, a bit too sweet, which I should've known Cons: -Powdery, practically grainy -Tasted like caramel and that overpowered the drink

Best boba place in town. Ask for lychee rose, it's my favorite.

I'm really happy to have "found" Sancha Bar, and will definitely start coming regularly. It seems less popular than other boba shops around Berkeley but deserves more recognition from what I can tell. The ambiance is great and the furniture is comfortable, so it makes a great study spot, especially since there's not much distraction around. The service is really good and accommodating, and they have free samples too. Upon recommendation, I got the lychee rose green tea with lychee jelly, and not only is it really pretty but also tastes perfect, with each flavor clear and complimenting each other :) I would definitely recommend Sancha Bar, especially because they have some unique drinks (gonna try the grass jelly roasted milk tea next) and pay attention to the details. Also, they give a 10% discount with student IDs.

My friend ordered one of the instragrammable fruit teas. It was good, but fruit teas aren't really my thing. I think it's possible that I just ordered the wrong drink, but I generally judge a boba spot by its milk tea with boba, and there was something just off with this one. Whatever sweetener they used in the milk tea tasted super artificial for some reason, and I ended up dumping half of it. I also wasn't too impressed with the spam musubi, which had a bit too much sweet sauce, but that's alright, I guess.

I was pleasantly impressed by the pretty and delicious teas at Sancha. The store seemed pretty empty on a weekend afternoon. I was happy to see that they were offering free milk tea samples. This helped me gauge how sweet they usually made their drinks. The sample milk tea was good, but too sweet for me so I knew to order my drink 50% sweet. I was tempted to get a milk tea, but I opted for the butterfly pea rosy lychee tea because it looked very pretty in pictures. The drink was perfect for me at 50% sweetness and I liked it a lot more than other teas at other boba shops. I loved that the cups came with the cute heart stoppers and that the store has good seats conpared to other places. My boyfriend got the fruit tea and it was very aesthetically pleasing for pictures, but it had less liquid because the pieces of fruit were taking up a lot of the volume. I like that Sancha Bar is in a convenient location and that it has seating for those days when want to hang out with many friends. I definitely see myself coming back!
