The best Sichuan cuisine in the East Bay area. The quality, portion size, location, and cleanliness are well worth the higher price compared to restaurants in Oakland Chinatown. We have dined here many times and have never been disappointed. Every dish is delicious, authentic, and fresh. We enjoyed everything we ordered, and the portions are so generous that the leftovers easily made two more meals at home.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a few years, and it’s hands down the best Sichuan food around. Their Mapo tofu is my absolute favorite. One thing to note though—their cabbage side dish is “paocai,” not kimchi. They’re completely different foods from different countries, and the process of making them isn’t the same. Don’t get me wrong, I love paocai !!, but I noticed some reviews from Americans mixing the two up. Just want to clear that up so people don’t...
Love this place. Has been a go to almost weekly since we moved to Berkeley. Amazing environment, pretty fast service and the food is the best Sichuan food you will find in the East Bay. If you like spicy food they have plenty of great spicy dishes. 1000 chili chicken and cumin lamb are amongst our favorites.
