A+, 5 stars, fire, slaps…..ohhhh man whatever you call it this place is legit.

I was only in the Bay Area briefly and had one meal to give to the cause of good food. So I stopped here.

Bibimbap called me. Ohhh yeah. The side dishes in advance were awesome—kimchi, picked cucumbers, radishes and a few others that really set the stage for the main dish.

I loved the stone bowl Bibimbap w/spicy pork came in. It really gave nice crust to the rice. Although the food was quite hot and sizzly. The dish was perfectly spicy and I enjoyed every bite.

I’ll be back for the house special and the KFC next time…or maybe back to the Bibimpap. :)

Absolutely incredible Korean food. Banchan was very delicious. Kimchi was really well seasoned. Soondobu seafood stock was really delicious. The seafood inside was really fresh. The pork belly was very good.

I love this place. Their kimchi is vegan, and so delicious. As a vegan, I love being able to enjoy their delicious kimchi pancake, kimchi fried rice and kimchi tofu soup. Their sides are also mostly vegan. All the food is sooo good. They also have great service and are very friendly. Highly recommend!

Well not sure what happened. When the place first opened it was top tier Ramen. But they changed owners, then the menu changed twice. Now I ordered the ramen tonight and could tell the quality dropped off by about 50 percent. I could even tell they used packaged noodles compared to what they used to make. It was like eating cup of noodles it was so bad. Well it was a good place to eat for a year. So sad and a poor representation of good Korean food and what it had originally inspired to be.

This place USED to be amazing. Then they opened a Japanese restaurant next door with the same kitchen. The quality of their food went down and they jacked up the prices a LOT. Won't be going back for overpriced mediocre food.

They had good kimchi, it was clearly aged, had a great flavor and texture. The ramen was done well and in a stone pot. I love stone pot meals. I had the kimchi pancake for an appetizer. Again, the kimchi used had a good flavor. Very flavorful. And they used a vegetarian broth for the ramen. Everything I had was vegan, requesting no egg for the ramen and there was no egg used in the kimchi pancake. Good ban chan (side dishes) too. You get 6 little plates. And since I was veggie they left out the fish ban chan. I live in Marin where there one little lunch time Korean snack shop which I can’t get to at the right time. So every time I go to the east bay I try out a Korean restaurant. I would go here again. Loved it, service was great. And it’s close to emeryville and Urban Ore.

A truly wonderful place for authentic and tasty Korean food, saves you a trip to the Korean neighborhoods on the Peninsula.

Gimbap is terrific. Soft tofu soup the best I’ve had in years and I used to live in a Korean neighborhood and had it at least five times a month.

If you are on a budget, consider one appetizer and one entree and a large beer for two people.

Delicious and satisfying! I had the noodles, which were flavorful with just the right balance of spice and texture. The side dishes were fresh especially Kimchi. The service was friendly and attentive. Cozy atmosphere and good value. The prices were reasonable for the quality. Whether you're a longtime fan of Korean cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

It is always empty, but I haven’t tried a better Korean place on Oakland/Berkeley area (I have been to at least 20). The service is amazing, the food is varied, everything is tasty, the portions are huge and it is not expensive.
My only critique/suggestion: PLEASE add a boneless Korean fried Chicken. That would make this place perfeeeeect.
