We loved our meal at Tane Vegan Izakaya in Berkeley! The things we got for takeout, ranked in order of deliciousness:
1. Pacifica specialty roll, perfect tempura eggplant, AMAZING creamy aioli
2. The Wedge specialty roll, so flavorful, just the right level of spice
3. Da bao, bean curd was especially good
4. Kailua specialty roll, very good but we preferred the other specialty rolls
For some reason this actually seemed better than Shizen in SF, which we've also tried. Not...
Everything about this place was spectacular! The only tough part was choosing what to order because everything sounded amazing. Each bite was a magical morsel moment. I can’t wait to go back!

Lovely vibes. Great location and friendly service.
The creamy ramen was delicious 🤤 🍜 I wish it was a bit more flavorful. I really liked the spam thing.
The bao was so good. Had the spam thing on it too and it was great.
The sushi was amazing as usual. Different sushi than the Palo Alto location! Happy hour (5pm-6pm) was legit great deals.
