Went to eat last night. I ordered the miso hotpot. It took almost half an hour for the dish to arrive. I took a bite of the udon and it was cold. I had to wait for a while before eating it. Then I ate the crab in it and it was smelly. . The crab meat is like mud ? There are too few waiters and the service is too slow. I have been to other restaurants before and it was not like this one. . Hope it will be greatly improved

Have dinner at the Tasty Pot restaurant near your hotel? How touching it is to be able to eat heart-warming and stomach-warming hot pot in the United States There are many diverse restaurant choices around the University of Berkeley? The nostalgic Taiwanese flavor - something like San Ma's Hot Pot actually costs NT$4,374 (including 18% tip). After traveling to Europe and the United States, you will find that prices in Taiwan are cheap in comparison?Of course~ Salaries in Europe and the United States are higher than those in Taiwan The flavor of the small hot pot is average, and the ingredients are just like Taiwanese San Ma. The pot is too flat and many of the ingredients are floating on the top of the soup. If you add more ingredients, it will be difficult to cook it?For example: dumplings?

The weather was cold and it's perfect for hotpot. Tasty Pot is one of those hotpot places that the pot is served individually. They have several selections and I always chose stinky tofu, even though I complained that they were stink at all. The portion of beef in the pot was adequate, but the the broth was little bit less than other places. The food was decent like mediocre. The services were slightly above average. Overall, the rating from me was average. The parking was kinda difficult during the day and night.

THE REVIEWER CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.RUDE, HOSTILE SERVICE, DIFFICULT ORDERING PROCESS. I came in first several people were waited on ahead of me despite the fact that I ordered first, I got the distinct feeling that non-Chinese people are not welcome here.I supported them strongly when they opened, but I can no longer support them. Also the, " free noodles" option on the menu is no longer free, or they just change that for me I'm going to look into it.Whatever the case, if they don't like the locals they should shut down the restaurant. I'm going to advise that none of my friends go here anymore. After nearly 30 million views, and 2000 reviews of East Bay restaurants, this was the worst experience I've had.Features: Parking is a little tricky around here, so if you can carpool or Park a few blocks away and walk in might be easier than circling the block 20 times to find a spot the way I did.

The food here falls in the middle—it's not the best, but it's not the worst either. The spicy pot brings some heat, and the portions are huge! The combinations they offer are a bit different from what I'm used to, but it's not bad, I would say.

This place is great for a cold night in Berkeley! My friend and I came here on a weekday night and were seated immediately. We both got the beef pot, but I replaced the beef with pork and got a free side of vermicelli. Would definitely recommend to get the side of rice instead in the future because the pot already came with vermicelli, I just didn't read the description clearly. Loved everything in the soup, and the waiters generously and regularly went around offering us refills on the soup when they saw us running low. Only complaint was that there was only one or two of each ingredient mentioned in the description, and the pot was mainly filled with cabbage.

Came here again with my family, and the food was just as tasty! I am updating my review to 5 stars because service was a lot quicker this time, despite the place being more busy/packed. I also appreciated that there were sauces on each table this time so that I didn't have to continuously bother the servers to keep bringing me more.

Great place for hotpot! The staff is very attentive, bringing more soup and water as needed. She also make sure that the food is safe for my friend (he is allergic to shellfish). The hotpot selection is great. The flavor is on the bolder side but not making me so thirsty afterwards. We got the Lamb and the stingy tofu hotpot and there are delicious. This place can be a trusted place for hotpot with a reasonable price.

Food was incredible, easy to order and very fast. Service was rushed in leaving, we couldn’t ask for everything at once. Great food though!Dietary restrictions: Contains nuts

Tasty pot always hits the spot and is consistent. I've been coming here for years and always order the beef pot with very spicy level, the most my stomach can handle. The very spicy level tastes good. Over the years, they changed the way they give the complimentary sauce. Before, it was self serve, now, you have to ask for the sauce:, which include a soybean paste and chili oil. The hot pots are individual pots that have an open flame underneath to keep the soup hot. It comes with a side of rice or vermicelli noodles. You also get unlimited broth refills. I've had the green tea and milk tea boba here also and they are refreshing and tasty. The place is a bit small if you have a group. It can seat about a group of four at most together. The service is okay. The waitress was on her phone and the servers seemed a bit stingy when we requested sauces.

I love Tasty Pot but not this location. The sauces are not out for you; you have to flag the staff down and request it. Also, this location does not have as many broths as other locations. Service is just meh, due to the design of the inside you really have to flag staff down.Parking here is already a drag so I'd rather go to a different location for Tasty Pot.

This is an interesting dishes for individual hot pots. I ordered the TaiwaneseSupreme hot pot and to my surprise, it has instant noodles as a base for the noodle. Additional vermicelli was also supplied as my choice of free additional noodles. The toppings are mainly beef, however, it also had some ingredients from standard hot pots, such as meatballs. The main ingredient that differentiate this taste is the pickled book Choi. Overall, the taste was very well, kind on the salty side. The restaurant is quite nice in a less crowded road. Overall, I do recommend a try if you like variety of hot pots.

Tasty Pot is overpriced to be honest but it's a Berkeley staple, especially on cold days and there's just no other alternatives close to campus. That being said, their hotpots taste great, there are many spice levels and flavors to choose from, and the service is attentive for how busy they always are.
