This is the newer location of Yin Ji Chang Fen. Chang fen or cheong fun is a steamed flat rice noodle which can have different kinds of filling. It’s simple and homey kind of food that’s often sold by street vendors all over Asia. The store also carries a small selection of dim-sum dishes.
Was craving traditional Chinese comfort food, so I stopped by for porridge and a rice noodle roll. Unfortunately, I left a bit disappointed. For the price, the portions felt small, and the quality didn’t really justify the cost. The photos on the menu made it seem like there’d be more meat, but what I got didn’t quite match up. Service was also a bit lackluster — nothing terrible, just not very attentive. Might not be in a rush to return.
The food is good and of authentic Chinese style.
