Azteca Grill Mexican Restaurant

Excellent service, everyone was very attentive. Got a table quickly and prepped with a high chair for our baby. Food came out very fast and was very tasty. Everyone in our party was satisfied with their plates and portion sizes. Our server asked if we needed desert and I said no thank you, we have birthday cake left over in our cabin. He suggested singing Happy Birthday to our one year old which she loved! It was very thoughtful and we appreciated it. Highly recommend this spot and will definitely visit when up in Big Bear again.

Love our little local spot! We walk here for a nice late dinner and excellent mixed drinks. Something new to try every time! Always feel well taken care of here

I really recommend this place it’s the best authentic Mexican food out here in big bear we went to a couple places and they were very rude and didn’t have hardly any food but here at Aztecs staff is beyond friendly and welcoming our waiter Diego was so great friendly and helpful everyone including customers were so friendly I love this place this is our new spot every time we come out here

We loved it, pets were welcomed and brought their own bowl of water .. even had dog meals .. beans a little bland but not a big deal… portions are plentiful

We JUST left Azteca Grill and I had to write! We are SO happy to have found this place! We were welcomed in with smiles and seated on their large covered patio (we had our pup!) Right away water bowl was brought and we were asked if we'd like a small pet meal (our dog Staccato is 14 lbs.) Of course we said "Yes! But with the meal so he doesn't drive us crazy!!! Chips and salsa brought immediately. Our server, Eduardo, was TOP DRAWER!!! I ordered a Cadillac Margarita (DO NOT MISS IT!! ITS EXQUISITE!!) Hubby a Dos Equis Amber on draft. Eduardo was very attentive and NOT "hovering" Perfect service!! We ordered the Axtexa Quesidillas (3 kinds of meat!) and they were wonderful!! We had a perfectly enjoyable meal and will be happy to return to The Azteca Grill!!

Was there with a friend for Valentines day weekend and what started as a fun afternoon laughing in conversation quickly turned into a rude interaction. The men serving us were super nice and attentive. My friend and I were one of the only customers at the restaurant, and everything was fine until a super disrespectful lady named Rosa (I believe was her name) walked in. As Rosa walked in, she gave us a completely rude stare. I had 3 drinks and one of the servers came to ask us if we wanted anything else when we put in another order he came back a couple minutes later and informed us that he was no longer able to serve us because she told him not to. I asked her to come over andasked her why she refused to serve us she made up a lie saying that there was a 3 drink max per customer ( which was a complete lie because other people were being served more than 3). I asked her to show me where there was a sign saying that she quickly brought over a binder with certificates that literally gave no information besides the names of employees for training. When I told her that nothing in the binder specified anything about 3 drinks, she quickly said, "If you have a problem, you can call the police." Needless to say, we paid our tab and left. I don't know what this lady's problem was, but she definitely will be the reason people will no longer want to go there. I feel bad for the male servers because they were doing a great job.

Great Carne Asada and the Mango Margarita was Awesome!!! And yes the service was awesome even got some real estate tips.

As a guy who has lived in Mexico for years, this isnt authentic mexican food. Calling it 'decent' food is a huge stretch on its own. I ordered a burrito and it was very clearly microwaved.

If they are willing to serve that, I cannot imagine what theyre willing to do to the actual non tex-mex dishes. Hell, theyre using supermarket marinara-like dip for the tortilla chips instead of real salsa.

For the owners: you should be ashamed of yourselves.
For the people reading this: save your money and go to Chipotle once it opens.

The food was good. Very authentic taste. Everyone gave their thumbs up. The jamaica was ok. The service was great. The only thing is the tortillas. You could smell the preservatives in them.
