The best brewery in town!
We happened upon this place for our first meal in Big Bear and ended up going back another time because it was so great. The food was excellent - nachos, burgers, pizza - all of it was great. And the beer selection was amazing and we didn’t find a bad one. The vibe was fun and the staff was really fun and helpful. If we lived in town we’d be regulars!
Been coming here since they opened, the staff is always wonderful, owners make you feel like you walked into your own home (with a bartender and chef). Dog friendly with gorgeous patio views. Menu isn't extravagant, but everything is delectable and the pricing is 100% reasonable for the area. They have easy grab water for families (paws included) and their on tap beer selection is on point! The tap list is perfect, with a great selection of beers, including Highland Park Brewing, Trillium, Cellarmaker, and Monkish. The service is fantastic, friendly, and attentive. The food is delicious, with popular items including the OG burger, garlic fries, mango habanero wings, Bun of a Gun burger, tater tots, and steak nachos. The Bear Trap Nachos and burgers are favorites among visitors. The restaurant is also accommodating with simple food modifications. With great music and pristine facilities, The Bear Trap Taproom & Kitchen has become a community hub and a must-visit spot in Big Bear.
