Oakside Restaurant was an amazing discovery! We had lunch there today, Saturday, April 5th, at a table for three. We are visiting from French Polynesia, and this is our first time in Big Bear. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely remember this place and hope to return soon!

Very few vegan options. They have three veggie bowls and an impossible burger. Note that the veggie bulgogi bowl is not vegan because they use egg in the meat. The impossible burger was pretty underwhelming. Exactly what you’d expect from a grocery store, no elevation whatsoever. The fried green beans were good but no option for vegan dipping sauce. The drinks, however, are the best in Big Bear.

I have eaten here three times now and each experience was solid. Each time I have started with the Ahi Poké and it is a great appetizer. The truffle grilled cheese is delicious and I highly recommend ending your meal with a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream.
