About Old Country Inn

Old Country Inn is a popular breakfast and dinner spot, known for serving the best country fried steak with outstanding gravy. The restaurant has a true mountain charm and offers great service and excellent ambiance, making it a standout in the area. Guests can enjoy delicious German dishes alongside regular menu items, like the steak breakfast and club sandwich with sweet potato fries. The pancakes are cooked perfectly with a crispy edge, and the biscuits and gravy are fluffy and tasty. With quick, attentive service and very affordable meals, it is one of the favorite spots in Big Bear, featuring easy parking.

While some dishes, like the Monty Christo, may not meet expectations, the All American burger has received praise for its good size and fresh ingredients. Although the service is generally good, there may be times when the waitstaff is less visible towards the end of the meal. The restaurant offers specials, but there can be confusion about their availability. Overall, visitors find the food tasty and worth checking out when in Big Bear.

Great service from owner! Treated my family as if they were her own! Plan to eat here again.
The Old Country Inn continues to have the best BBQ in Big Bear! Great breakfasts and great salads!
Owners are so awesome as they devote their lives to help raise money to help everyone!

Great staff!
Big bear local♡ me and my boyfriend usually go on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and theres always at least 2-3 people there dining in. To me this shows food and service is good enough to have regular patrons. It's always a sweet lady taking care of us and the food is consistently good (I order different everytime and never disappointed) and today I found out they have good bloody Mary's and their traditional German potato salad is good too! And the prices aren't ridiculous...read full review
