Homestead is a restaurant that offers a variety of dishes and an enjoyable dining experience. The mahi mahi tacos and clam chowder in a sourdough bowl are popular menu items, with the tacos described as light and tasty, and the chowder loaded with bacon. The beignets are a highlight, although some initial undercooked pieces were quickly remedied by the staff. The buffalo cauliflower bites, beer-battered fries, and burger are also well-received. The outdoor river-side dining and the overall atmosphere of the Lodge, including the lobby and gift area, add to the ambiance. While the food may be just "okay" for some, the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the delicious beignets, make Homestead a pleasant dining option.
