Really great burger stop, was recommended by a local in town. I’m not a big fan of burgers but this place was pretty damn good, probably the best I’ve had in a couple years, I don’t even think in-in-out is as good. I had the Weatern, kids had plain and husband had the regular. Our family enjoyed the burgers and fries and tater tots. If ever back in town I would definitely come back.
I have more questions about this establishment than answers. 1) Is this burger shack licensed? 2) how? 3) could this shack not been constructed of better material than particle board? 4) who builds a burger shack in the middle of a trailer park?Their burgers are best described as every kids birthday party you've gone to where there's a ton of food no one is eating. The burgers are mediocre at BEST. If you're determined to visit bring your epi-pen, and make sure your tetanus is current.
A very unusual place. They aren’t trying to upscale it which would become a big piece of the cost. The prices are very reasonable. They don’t have hot dogs. (Most places that have hamburger, have hot dogs. Don’t they?) It has a tacked together look. The decor is whimsical. It would fit in at Bombay Beach near the Salton Sea. It has a pretty good line-up of burgers and sides that fit.
Delicious, large burgers and unique shack decor! To-go box was nice and parks nearby.
Drove to find this restaurant based upon the reviews. Food (burger, fries, shake) was very good. Building, dining area, and food preparation areas were all well below common expectations. The covid fear was pretty palpable here. Drinks are refilled at a charge.
What a funky little spot they've put together, the staff was super friendly and the food was incredible! The quality and flavors are top notch, super crispy fries and onion rings and the local burger on the house bun was perfect. Their food is a 5 for bishop and frankly anywhere else as well.
Just driving through bishop on a road trip and found this gem. Great atmosphere , delicious food and unique! Will come here every time I pass through bishop
Love this little place, super friendly staff. Great menu. Off the beaten track. Little gem in Bishop. Amazing fresh burger with homemade buns.
This place was excellent. Sometimes in smaller towns you have to lower your expectations for 5 stars because there are only so many options, but this place would be 5 star anywhere. Friendly staff, cute patio sitting area, quality ingredients, fair prices. An incredible find. We were all satisfied with the food. Kids and all.
Wow. Maybe best burger experience I've had in the past decade.

Cute little place. Great burgers, fries, and onion rings
Delicious burgers and outstanding customer service. Definitely coming back!
Stopped here partway through a road trip up the 395 after reading about it in some blog posts. Off the beaten path place about a mile from downtown Bishop, run out of a trailer park on native land and looks like someone's back yard - seats are pulled from vans, booths from other restaurants. Staff was super friendly. It was a 100 degree day and they had rigged a spray mist system near the ordering area to cool us off. The food was great, one of the best meals I had on a two week trip covering about 1500 miles. Tall, juicy burger, the flavors of the toppings blended together well, the fries and onion rings were fried perfectly with great dipping sauces. Worth the stop if you find yourself in the area.
Everyone had a tasty burger. Could be called Backyard Burgers because everything looked and tasted like all the burgers we've fixed in our own backyard on our own grill.Only downside was no indoor seating (although the outside seating was great) but it was a pretty hot day. Lots of shade though, so we were fine.
We had a DELICIOUS lunch at the Bishop Burger Barn, and the atmosphere is terrific. We appreciated the local, grass-fed beef, great selection of toppings, fabulous sweet potato fries and milkshakes made with homemade ice cream. We’ll be back frequently!
