Good beer, but the service isn't the best. I dont understand why this place closes so early, and then you will often see people drinking in the place still for several hours. Clearly dont understand how last call works. If I come it at 9 and you close at 8, last call is irrelevant, your business is closed. At most bars, last call is 15 before closing time, and you're supposed to leave after closing time.
It just seems like an uncomfortable double standard, where more often than not it seems like the staff is catering to personal friends. I dont know if these are regulars, or if they are actual acquaintances, but the staff has made me feel neglected and uncomfortable on several occasions.
Atmosphere is nice, and the selection is decent, but I have never really felt wanted or welcome here.
Seems like a place for pretention

Nah! It's just OK. I'm coming from many other breweries, so I know how the service should be. It's just OK on my end.

Beers were okay. The pouring for higher ABV beers was very disappointing, 5 oz for 13% c'mon man. Ordered the rib tips, you can tell they were something from a box and a cheap microwaveable food nothing to talk about positively.

Amazing food, and amazing service! My boyfriend and I decided to stop by since we’ve heard great things from friends. Unfortunately, I could not try any of the craft beers due to my pregnancy but to my pleasant surprise they have many alternative options like Liquid Death Iced Teas and Sparking waters. They are very inclusive, friendly, very professional, and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable about all kinds of beer. They even have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options! We had no issues finding parking, but I’m most impressed by how clean the bathrooms are and with my pregger nose I immediately noticed it doesn’t smell like a bar or stale beer.

It was 94° and they wanted me to sit on the patio with my dog. They mentioned nothing about the patio when I ordered the beer. after letting me know, I told him I would leave and gave them my beer back, I had only taken one drink. they still charged me and then gave me a dirty look when I didn’t tip. Four legs brewery and BCBC are both dog friendly, I’ll definitely be supporting them in the future instead.

Food ⭐= Beer selection here.
They do have snack foods too!
One of the best tap AND can selections I've seen outside of one or two spots in the central valley. Prices are slightly high but you're paying for the exclusivity imo with the choices here.

It's great to have a local bar with such friendly staff. The place has great vibes with local patrons enjoying an after-work drink or just meeting friends to catch up.
Amazing staff and atmosphere
Best spot for craft beer in Brentwood!
Always good service and fresh new beers

Great beer, great staff. Cool place to hang out.
great place to get many micro brews and appetizers. the bar tender is very knowledgeable about the different beers.
Great spot to grab some great microbrews.
We stopped in for the first time at Hop Asylum and was pleasantly surprised! The staff was awesome and they helped us pick a few of their beers to go with their menu items. It had a really chill feel and all the customers were friendly. We live less than a mile from there so we were missing out not visiting earlier! Go check them out!
Lovely with som good food pairings and a wide assortment of unique drinks! Their fruited and sour ale collection on draft is spectacular, and their to-go section is equally as impressive.
Frome ales to barley wine to a fantastic group of I teresting meads this has become a place of interest to me as a fairly new local.
My favorite so far for a stand alone drink is their whip wrangler ( super fruity smoothy sour with a unique texture and fruity taste which I prefer).
As for a food and booze combo go for their Cuban (salty and crispy and buttery!) and pair it with the raspberry mead! Super sweet and jammy. Reminds me much of the money cristo with berry compote I had at Disney land...minus the annoying crowds..so far that is my favorite combo.
This place offers small 5oz drafts for you to cost effectively try out a wide e variety, pair that with super friendly staff and (again) an amazing variety of canned to go items and this makes for one really amazing place to try out.
I hope to continue being a patron to this establishment for the foreseeable future!
