Legit delicious bakery! Ham and cheese croissant was excellent as was the coffee cake. They have a microwave so you can heat up your baked goods items. A little pricey but hey you are in the mountains. Awesome to find a place this good.

High Sierra Bakery offers a delightful array of homemade breads, sweets, and sandwiches. Their BLT sandwiches on their own bread, as well as their excellent brownies and coconut macaroons (called "haystacks") with dates and walnuts, have received high praise. The bakery serves top-notch donuts, and recent reviews highlight the incredible Crumb buttermilk/cake donuts and the best maple bar, which is also the largest. Guests have also enjoyed the impressive apple fritter, which is large and delicious. The pastries are amazing and delicious, including ham and cheese croissants, raspberry croissants, and a delicious lemon tart. The brownies are described as fantastic—soft, rich, and perfectly chocolaty—while the chocolate chip cookies are soft and sweet with a perfect bake. Additionally, the sheepherder's bread is warm, soft, and wonderful for sandwiches. High Sierra Bakery is a cute spot and a great little shop with friendly staff, making it a hidden gem in the Eastern Sierra, attracting visitors for breakfast and a tasty snack, especially after early morning adventures like soaking in nearby hot springs.
