Probably one of the best poke spots in OC. You can taste the freshness of the sushi and the sauces were delicious. Great customer service. Definitely will be back again.

Poke Time is such great spot. It's really clean, the poke is really fresh, they have generous servings, and the staff is SO friendly. I live in the next city over and still make the drive — what a great restaurant!

This is my favorite poke place that I’ve been going to for a while! The food is always fresh and I really like that I can get my favorite fish and toppings, my vegan sister has tofu options, and my 6 year old can get macrons or ice cream. Sometimes I switch it up and get the yubu and miso soup, which are both awesome. The staff is always nice and friendly, which is a great bonus.

Located in a strip center on La Palma Avenue across the street from the Buena Park Downtown mall just east of Knott’s Berry Farm, Poke Time is one of those poke restaurants that have been popping up all around Southern California over the past few years. Poke (pronounced poh-keh) is a Hawaiian dish made of sliced or diced fish (usually raw) that is marinated. A classic poke (my preference) is served with rice, but there are alternatives here for chip lovers and those who prefer a low-carb alternative. The ordering system may seem a bit confusing at first, but it’s really fairly simple and clearly laid out on the menu board. First you select the size (regular/medium/large) of bowl. You choose the “base” for your bowl (white rice, brown rice, chips, salad or a combination thereof), then select 3 to 5 scoops from seven different types of fish (including tuna, salmon, scallops, albacore, spicy tuna, octopus and shrimp), choose items to mix into your bowl (such as cucumber, white onion, cilantro, jalapeno and wasabi), pick your sauce (which will vary based on the level of spiciness), and finally select your toppings (like avocado, corn, crabmeat, edamame, ginger, green onion, fried onion, masago, seaweed salad or sesame seeds). The result of all those choices is a bowl of delicious flavors and multiple textures that you can feel pretty about afterward. On our visit, all the ingredients seemed fresh. The dining room was clean and well-maintained. The service was more polite than enthusiastic, but it was also both patient and efficient. If you’re already a poke fan, you’ll no doubt enjoy this place; if you’ve never tried it but are interested in doing so, Poke Time would be a pretty good place to start.
