It was date-nite for my wife and I, so we decided to try a new place. We stopped at Candilejas to give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised. You wouldn't give the building much importance from the outside, and it's sort of in a funny area for a restaurant. When I entered, I got the family-owned restaurant vibe...small, simple, spartan. I went to have mariscos with the family and ended up at Candilejas. The place was lit. The owner came out to say hello to us as soon as we got there. The mesera was super nice and very efficient when she took out orders. The food was amazingly spicy and full of flavor. Service was on point and the vibe was good. Stop by if you leave nearby or are a local in the area. You won't be disappointed.
