“Twelvemonth Bakehouse is an absolute gem! 🥐✨ I loved everything I tried. Each bite feels fresh, thoughtful, and made with so much care.
It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back every single day (and honestly, I would if I could!). The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is welcoming, and the quality is just outstanding.

“Why am I just learning about this place! The food is some of the best vegan food I've had in a long time. I got the dumplings, Korean sliders and the tots with soyriso and everything about it was delicious! All plant based vegan and they have some gluten free options too. I am definitely coming back to try more things.“

“It's a great restaurant that we were able to visit while on our journey. The lasagna was the best I have ever tasted 🤤 it was sooooo good and it doesn't need anything to accompany it. The pizza, that we got, was good, next time I would get different meats but this was definitely a spot to spin the block and go back to before I head out .“

“My wife and I visited for the 1st time on the last Saturday of June 2025. The menu was not overwhelming. The food was well prepared and delicious. The server and the cashier were both friendly and gracious. The mood was festive with music playing not too loudly. The dining room was family-friendly; I appreciated that we didn't have to walk past a dark bar decorated with too many neon beer signs to get to the dining room. And I appreciated that despite rising prices, the menu offers relatively affordable food for family dining.“

“Burlingame has long been overdue for a dedicated wine bar, and Velvet 48 Wine Bar fills that gap beautifully. Years ago, we were regulars at Nectar, a beloved spot for date nights, and ever since it closed, we've been waiting for something that could capture that same charm. Velvet 48 delivers.
Though centrally located, the entrance is a bit tucked away — we might have missed it if a friend hadn’t recommended it. We’re so glad they did. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You’re greeted with a taste of their house sparkling rosé, which is so good we end up ordering it every time we visit. That said, their wine list is extensive and thoughtfully curated, and they also offer bottles to-go.
We always enjoy their cheese and charcuterie boards — either one of each or the half-and-half option, which makes a perfect light bite before dinner.
If you’re looking for an inviting, high-quality wine bar in Burlingame, Velvet 48 is absolutely worth a visit.“
