The tarts and mini cakes at Maison Alyzée are a must-try! The pastries are good but generally on the higher end of the price range ($6-7). The mini cakes and tarts, in my opinion, are reasonably priced for the quality. The strawberry pistachio tart was delicious. The place itself is spotless with a minimalist decor, creating a nice atmosphere for a chill meetup with friends
This is the only place I know outside of Paris or Lyon with croissants and pastries as good as the ones in Paris or Lyon. I’d show you a picture but normally civilized people devour their goods like rabid wolves before I get the chance. Their coffee is good, the desserts are to die for. The people who work there are nice; the person who I think is the owner is very kind and very French.
So I had the ham and cheese croissant, asked for it to be warmed up, but it was still cold in the center.
Taste on it was very nice otherwise . Cappuccino was good. I didn't ask for Oat milk. I forgot, but as it was, it was good.
Very pricey for what they do, But they cater to a Burlingame crowd, pay rent on a street where tenants are robbed by their landlords, so I get the high prices. Still sucks.
They coppied Mademoiselle Collette...
