Wonderful wine, good pricing and a great property.
Just came here for mitchel grey
We visited Brian Arden winery for the Chef Experience, and it was truly amazing! As soon as we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome - especially Angel who gave us a tour of the facility. The food and wine pairings by chef Mitchel were exceptional! 10/10 highly recommended
We had such a wonderful experience at Brian Arden. Our host, Jillian was amazing. She told the story of Brian Arden Wines as she brought out each tasting, which connected our tasting with the history, making it so much more meaningful. You can tell Brian Arden is a family focused winery, hell bent on making quality, tasteful wine. We were lucky to be there on a day we had winery all to ourselves and Jillian graciously offered a tour, which was amazing.
What we didn't expect was the mind blowing experience of the Carrot Caramel Popcorn we purchased with our tasting. Are you kidding? The chef at Brian Arden has talent beyond words!
Thank you for such a great experience on the last day of our Anniversary trip in Napa!!
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Chef Experience at Brian Arden Winery, masterfully curated by Chef Mitchel Gray, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that we were in for a culinary journey that would surpass even the finest Michelin-starred restaurant nearby.
Chef Gray’s skill and creativity were on full display with each meticulously crafted course. Every dish was a testament to his expertise, seamlessly pairing with Brian Arden’s exquisite wines. The highlight was their Sangiovese, aptly nicknamed “It’s just too good,” which perfectly complemented the flavors on our plates.
The atmosphere was both welcoming and sophisticated, Madeline was one of the best wine guides we have ever had. She told wonderful stories and invited us to truly savor each bite and sip.
Chef Gray’s ability to harmonize the bold and nuanced flavors of the wine with his inventive dishes left a lasting impression. Each pairing was a delightful surprise, elevating our dining experience to an unparalleled level.
For anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary and wine adventure, the Chef Experience at Brian Arden Winery is a must. Come hungry and prepare to be amazed, because this experience truly redefines excellence in food and wine pairing.
We ordered 4 bottles from this winery at about $500.00.
There were issues right from the beginning, our card was charged twice and we had to rectify that ourselves, then there were shipping issues, finally when we recieved the wine it was bad. We reached out to the representative and she offered us 50% off our next order,,,
Wait, this order was bad, the wine was bad when it arrived, why am I going to order again if this is your business model, “Bryan Arden Winery, we ship you bad wine and then expect you to reorder and replace the bad wine we sent you, but atleast we give you a discount on that”
Ummm, no!
I came in for a tasting and was absolutely blown away! Our service was incredible, the staff is so wonderfully kind and knowledgeable! Each selection was delicious and the stories behind their bottles are absolutely beautiful. Beautiful small family winery. Can’t wait to come back!
Brian Arden Winery promises a charming family-run experience with high-quality wines.
This family-operated winery boasts a dedicated team, producing a limited number of cases each year. We thought it would be a great option for a more intimate experience, but unfortunately, our visit fell a bit short.
The good:
Free Tastings (with purchase): Their $55 tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles, making it a budget-friendly option compared to some Napa wineries.
Snack Attack: The highlight of our visit was the small bites selection. The carrot and caramel popcorn was delicious, disappearing quickly.
Room for improvement:
Setting: The indoor tasting room felt a bit plain compared to the stunning settings some Napa wineries offer. The limited outdoor seating faces the calistoga hills, but it might not be ideal on hot days.
Wine Quality: Unfortunately, the wines themselves were a letdown. Across most of the tasting, we found them thin, lacking complexity, and with an unpleasant aftertaste.
The pungent aroma wasn't very inviting either. Only the dessert wine managed to impress.
Sommelier Knowledge: Our sommelier, while friendly, seemed a bit inexperienced and couldn't answer some of our questions about the wines. The whole conversation felt more scripted than fluid. It also appeared that they were understaffed because our sommelier had to cut our conversation short because she had to attend to another party.
Brian Arden has the potential to be a delightful winery experience. However, based on the wines we tasted, it falls short for the price point (thankfully, our wine tasting was complimentary because we had the Covet Wine Pass).
Best Sauv Blanc out of California.
Based on a recommendation, I made the drive over to Brian Arden for a tasting, not only were the staff Amazing, full of smiles and energy, the wines were just as great. The thing that sets Brian Arden apart from other wineries is the fact that it is small batch and definitely gives you a family vibe. It’s clear the second you pull up and park that they take pride not only in their staffing but in the creation of the wines they produce.
If you’re looking for a great vibe, amazing wines and a staff that truly loves what they do, make the drive to Calistoga and visit the team at Brian Arden. You will not be disappointed.

This was our favorite winery in Napa! We still belong to the wine club since our initial visit in 2021. Hope to go back soon! If you can participate in the food and wine pairing, do it! Fantastic food experience and reasonable price tag!
I highly recommend this winery. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday in Calistoga and Brian Arden winery definitely contributed a lot to our celebratory mood. The ambiance was cozy and serene, offering beautiful views of the vineyard. Really loved their Sauvignon Blanc. Jillian made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional experience.
Great atmosphere, unique family owned winery. Brian Arden’s Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc were both the best I’ve had in Napa. Great wines overall, would recommend.
We had a great wine tasting here! Lovely setting, great hostess that told us the stories of the wines, and AMAZING burrata (with apricot jam and edible flowers!) from the chefs small plates menu
We had such a fantastic tasting at Brian Arden! We loved how relaxing and chill the ambiance was. Not your typical stuffy winery experience. Very warm and accommodating. Not to mention the wines were incredible and the views stunning! Jillian was such a wonderful host :)
