I am visiting from Australia. Was looking forward to a pizza. 45 minutes later I get this pizza placed in front of me... Cold dry, no cheese and some slices of tomatoes thrown on top. Told the waitress the pizza was dry, she asked if I wanted some sauce cold or hot. The manager past by several times and noticed that I was not eating... Never even acknowledged me when I left I stated my disappointment, he could not care less. He ruined my experience . I came home hungry with a stomach ache. I highly recommend avoiding the place , you save yourself from disappointment.
I have the receipt! Palisades Eatery 1414 Lincom Ave Calistoga. Owner is dishonest and trying to discredit my review. SHAME ON YOU!

I ordered spaghetti with meatballs - a classic - that was a hard miss. It was flavorless, soggy and the meatballs were dry. The entire time that I was there, no one came to fill up my glass of water or to check on me. It took a good 10 min to get the waitress’s attention to get me some Parmesan in order to give the spaghetti some flavor. The only reason I ate it was that I was starving and sending the food back would only have delayed my eating. It seemed that all the attention was focused on the locals. When I was asked about the food I said it was awful. The waitress offered no feedback whatsoever. She walked away and served me the bill in silence.
My recommendation is that if you see this restaurant, keep walking. It’s a tourist trap!

The “Old Spaghetti & Meatballs” was completely flavorless — even after adding a full cup of Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, it was still inedible. The Margherita pizza was just as bad: dry, cold, lacking cheese and sauce, and topped with raw tomatoes that were clearly added after baking. No flavor whatsoever.
When we mentioned this to the waitress, her only response was to offer to warm up some extra sauce. The beet salad was mediocre at best. The only thing even halfway decent was the arancini.
When she asked how everything was (aside from the pizza) and we said it was all underwhelming, there was no apology, no offer to make things right — not even a complimentary drink or dessert. She just dropped off the check and walked away.
On top of that, no one refilled our water or checked in during the meal. Overall, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Calistoga. I would strongly recommend avoiding Palisades Eatery altogether.

Loved the combo pizza here — tasty, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The team is super friendly, and the place is clean with a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend Palisades Eatery for a quick, quality bite!

Delicious creamy tomato soup and Cesar salad wrap. Order and the counter and sit by the window to people watch in downtown Calistoga. This place was recommended by a local. Great food and atmosphere!

My takeout Greek Salad had barely any cucumber, skimpy on the feta, heavy on the onion

I called cause a friend referred me. The lady who picked up was very aggressive, telling me I've called here before, and if I don't have his cell, not to call here. She kept speaking over me even when I said you are being aggressive and this isn't a good look, and she still hung up on me clear as day but tried to call back after saying the phone got disconnected..... This is not how a manager should ever handle a phone call, even if it was the person she mistakenly me for. Treat everyone better!

Wife and I had lunch at this small cafe while in Calistoga for a quick visit. Nice service with an amazing cobb salad and Pallisade sandwich. Highly recommend as both were full of flavor and quality ingredients. Pallisade sandwich was amazing -- served on fresh poppyseed foccacia bread with thinly shaved turkey, pickled red onions, cranberry chutney and fresh lettuce. Cobb salad had romaine lettuce with boiled egg, avocado, grilled chicken, yummy fresh bacon bits and a vinaigrette dressing. Cafe also had fresh ice water for self dispensing. Really nice experience.
