What a fun time! Not only was the wine amazing but so was our tour guide! Jeff was so impressionable and educated on all the info and fun facts we could have possibly needed! I highly suggest requesting him personally. My mom and I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend visiting!
Enjoyable and educational tour experience.
One of the oldest continuously operating Vineyards in all of Napa Valley. Schramsberg specializes in bubbly
First time visiting yesterday. We did the cave tour and tasting which was just so cool to see. The cave tour was light walking and me being short, didn't have any problems with the height but there are little corridors that may not be fun for people slightly taller... the tasting included 4 sparkling wines and 1 red with a pairing of cheeses, dried cherries and apricot to combine. Beautiful property and such friendly service. I think the shop was very reasonably priced too. I bought a bottle stopper for only $8 but they had other items too like stone coasters and logo items. Would recommend.
A friend and I stopped in at this winery to pick up a bottle of wine or maybe do an impromptu tasting while driving down from Calistoga. We walked in and were completely ignored by the staff without any acknowledgment of our presence. I get this place is by appointment only, but basic hospitality and guest service dictates that at least one of several frazzled-looking employees should have said hello and asked if we were being helped.
When we finally got ahold of an employee, she seemed annoyed at us. Could we have a tasting - no, could we buy a bottle and drink it on the grounds - no, could we have a couple of plastic glasses to drink the bottle elsewhere - no. The lady could not have been more exasperated by each one of our questions. The whole interaction was just very unpleasant. We still ended up buying a bottle, and it was good. But the entire experience was just tragic. I’m glad the “tour” volume is so high that they feel justified ignoring basic principles of customer service.
This was my second visit to Schramsberg. I loved taking friends back for the tour and tasting experience. Lots of interesting info on the tour, and a tasting inside the cave! It’s so iconic and memorable. Must visit if you’re in Napa. The sparkling wines are fantastic
My favorite winery in Napa hands down. The vineyard is recovering from the wildfires but the staff and wine are still brilliant. Will keep coming back.
Delicious wine. Great wine tour with Jeff!
Jeff did an excellent job as our guide.
The BEST cave tour in all of Napa!
We will be revisiting next year. 💕
I would absolutely recommend the cave tour when in the Napa Valley area. The tour has great information on sparkling wines, their storage, and the entire winemaking process. The wines themselves were also amazing. Our host was very knowledgeable and made the tasting one of my favorites while in Napa.

Our favorite winery experience during our time in Calistoga! Jeff, our wine host (and Wine country), was fantastic. The setting under the trees was magical and the bubbles and red wines were divine. Highly recommend!!
We visited for a cave tour and tasting. We were a party of 2 and were paired with others in a group of 10 total. The grounds and cave were interesting to see, but the downside to this experience was all of the tasting was inside the cave with little time in between pours. Felt rushed and less personal given the size of the group. Wines themselves were good, but wish we had more time to enjoy the wines
Attention to detail and excellent customer service. Cave wine tour with Tameron was informative, funny and intoxicating! For a winery that puts the customer experience first and off the beaten path, make a reservation and enjoy. 😎
Great cave tours and tastings! The property is gorgeous and the sparkling wines are the best in California/US.
Of the 6 vineyards we visited, this is ranked last - by far. Started 15 mins late, the tour guide was more interested in talking about his other work experiences and another guest’s wine club memberships than he was about this place. This was also the most pricey place - we joined memberships at 4 of the other 6. While many touted it as a must-visit, it’s a miss for us. Ranked higher: Porter, the Terraces, Cakebread, Kenwood, and Hendry. Wish we chose somewhere else
