Amazing wine tasting and cave tour. We traveled with a group of eight and Shramsberg was our favorite of 5 wineries we visited. Loved everything about our time there and the wine is top notch. Highly recommend.
Jeff was a great tour guide. Engaging and funny. I very much enjoyed the experience here.
We had a delightful wine tasting experience at Schramberg! Super knowledgeable staff, beautiful garden, delicious bubbles, and hundreds of thousands of aging champagne bottles... If you don't know how champagne or sparkling wine is made, the tasting tour is both educational and exceptional! I loved how they preserved certain historical artifacts, showed photos from the 1800s when the winery was first built, and also the fact that the cave was carved to turn into a winery. But don't let me spoil all the cool stuff you will learn.
The only thing missing was some cheese/crackers at a 9 am tasting!
I had a very disappointing experience at this vineyard. Prior to my visit, I informed the vineyard that I would be bringing my certified service dog. They asked about the tasks my dog performs, and I provided a detailed response. They did not raise any concerns at that time. However, when I arrived with my dog, the staff at the front desk told me that my dog was not a service dog because of its fur. My dog, being in an unfamiliar environment, initially made a few low murmurs but was completely quiet and well-behaved after adjusting to the surroundings.
The staff claimed, “The service dog has different fur than your dog,” which left me in complete shock. This was the first time I had ever been told that a certified service dog could be refused entry based on its appearance. The only time my dog barked was when the tour guide, without my consent, attempted to pet her. It is common knowledge that service animals should not be petted by others, and this should have been part of the staff's training.
This incident highlights not just an issue for individuals who rely on service animals but also reflects poorly on the management and staff training at this vineyard. The manager’s argument that a service dog’s legitimacy can be determined by the length or type of its fur is absurd and demonstrates a significant lack of understanding and education among the staff.
I am deeply disappointed in the way this vineyard handles such matters, and it speaks volumes about their lack of care for customers and their rigid, uninformed perceptions of service animals.
The cave tour is absolutely worth it! Suzanne our guide was amazing - funny, educational and beyond interesting.
Yummy bubbles and a great tour
Such an amazing tour! Christopher was the absolute best he was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had such a good time. Definitely check it out!
Not happy that they did not listen when I asked for our shipment to deliver this fall. Instead it shipped in middle of a HOT summer. That said the tour and wine tasting was worthwhile and great experience I just hope the $$$$ we spent buying their product is not spoiled upon delivery.
The cave tour was beautiful. Christopher is great: knowledgeable and very handsome ?. The wines were delicious.
Gorgeous place and amazing sparkling wine

Very interesting experience and history. Well done tour, extremely informative. Tasty sparkling wines.
Great tour and even better wine. Mr. T was a phenomenal tour guide - would highly recommend the cave tour and wine tasting!
We recently did our second tour and tasting at Schramsberg ,and, once again, it was a delightful experience. Our wine educator, Jeff, was knowledgeable and kept the group laughing with his terrific humor, and of course, the caves are magical and the sparkling wines are outstanding. We love this place!
Cave tour very worth it
