On a whim, my husband and I decided to take a trip up to wine country. Now let me begin by saying that on every previous trip up this way we have always been underwhelmed. Tedeschi Family Winery changed all of that for us! Ashley greeted us warmly and proceeded to wow us with both her knowledge and the wines she put in front of us. We have never tried a pure gamay wine and that was a weirdly wonderful revelation. But, honestly, we were bowled over by all of their wines here. If you have ever experienced the condescending and arrogant attitude of wine tasting in Napa and have found the experience off-putting, like me in particular, I want to tell you to run, don't walk into Tedeschi. It will change your whole perception and experience in wine country. These folks know what they are doing and are eager to share that experience with you!

Popped in after walking from town to see the geyser. Even though they were not yet open for tours, Stephanie and Emillio (and the pups Stella and Bentley) welcomed us. We enjoyed a wonderful few hours by the vineyard sampling their great wines. We can't wait to receive our purchases from their wine club and reminisce over our visit.

love love love!!! Decided to do a day trip to calistoga with the boyfriend for wine and hot springs! Since it's definitely not peak season and it was a tuesday, tedeschi winery was quiet and it felt like a private tour/tasting! Tour: We were with emilio and wow does he know his stuff. He answered all of my many questions and explained the entire wine making process super well so it was understandable. Not only did he explain the wine making, but all the small nuances behind corks/screw caps, vine trimming, and why they chose the cover crops we saw in the fields. Wine: Great great great wine! Both my boyfriend and I are slightly picky when it comes to what wines we like, I usually don't deviate from whites and he doesn't deviate from reds. HOWEVER, this was not the case here. My boyfriend was a fan of their sauvignon blanc and fran's pick (an orange muscat wine). As for me the valdiguie and primitivo were extremely easy to drink and that definitely came as a surprise! It was also super fun that they had valdiguie as i've never seen such a light red before! We overall ended up leaving with two bottles and very happy we came! Vibes: 11/10! Huge huge perk is stella the winery dog!!!! She is super friendly and wanders the winery looking for sticks, chewing on grass, and sleeping in the sun. The atmosphere even in the winter is so pleasant and I wish we could've stuck around for the rest of the day. The facilities are clean and very aesthetic. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Thank you to Tedeschi Winery for the beautiful tasting yesterday! My friends and I arrived around 3 after a referral from our friends at Tamber Bey (another favorite)... we had a super personalized tasting sitting with blankets, around a firepit, with Stella the winery bulldog cuddled on my friend's lap. The small touches and at-home and family feel make this winery an absolute pleasure to visit. We will be back!

BEAUTIFUL location and wonderful service. We did a wine tasting here and it was such a great experience. I am younger and newer to wine, and they made sure to explain the wine we were tasting and what to best pair it with. We tried new wines we had never heard of and had such a great time and even bought a few bottles to fly home with. Go support this family owned winery!

Lucky we found this winey on google- with such awesome views, and very family oriented tasting.Emilio, owner's Son and a blender with with Brother was great host. We fortunately got seating without a reservation, maybe because this is low key no frills winery not on the main "strip" of Napa valley.But the views are as good as any other winery with sweeping views of the "valley".Most seating is under a walnut tree and we were braking open fresh ripe walnuts to go as nuts with our wine, with a nut cracker provided from them.We found all the wines better tasting than other big brands in this trip. Your own food is allowed as picnic besides their own snacking options which are delicious with wine.It's about experience which was perfect!

We visited this winery recently and had a great experience! Not only was the wine excellent but our guide - Emilio - was great too. So much knowledge and a clear passion for his families winery. Tedeschi was our favorite of the day. The location is just beautiful and love supporting a smaller, family run business. We tried a great range of wine too. From low tannins to the richer, darker reds. Great range for everyone’s preferences.
This is the reason we traveled to this area. Emilio was an absolute pleasure to talk with and a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend coming here vs somewhere else that is much larger and you can buy at your local distributor. Tedeschi is the is the epitome of Napa and why we came to this region.
