“This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Paula (and there are lots of good ones). I visit about three times a year and always drop by Rabalais. Great cajun/creole food. I recommend the breakfast shrimp and grits with a runny fried egg. The red beans and rice with anduille sausage is great. The placeHas a wonderful old-time feel like a bistro from the early 1900s. They have a full bar and great espresso and pastries too.“
“Dinner with a friend who has eaten at Bistro 13 many times and recommended it highly. It did not disappoint. We ate on their patio area outside. Tables very nicely spaced. Next to parking area but no road noise or parking lot smell. Overall, 4+ star ambiance. Our server was at our table right away to get our drink order. Despite having a full bar, they only have bottled beer - nothing on draft. Not terrible since they had a couple that I like to choose from. They had a seafood special that sounded good. But there was a chicken menu item that also sounded good. We asked if we could have the menu item made with the seafood. No problem. The dish turned out terrific!Service was excellent throughout. Both the manager and the owner came to the table (separately) to make sure everything was going well. Nice touch!!!Excellent food, Excellent service. Fair prices. Great value. Our new go-to Italian restaurant.“
