Terrible experience! My husband and I went out on our date to try this location out and we sat at the bar. The bartender was taking shots with customers at an extreme rate slurring her words and not acknowledging other customers such as us. As we ordered our beverages, she was either so intoxicated bringing us the incorrect drinks or she purposefully did that so we can leave. After she brought us the second wrong drink, we decided to report her to her supervisor and leave. The restaurant manager said it’s ok for her to drink with the customers because they’re paying for her drinks….

A family friend of mine has a child with autism that has food restrictions. Because of this, he cannot order from/eat from most restaurants. When the family took out a breakfast sandwich (from a fast food restaurant) so that he could eat alongside his family, they were asked to leave. I understand having a no outside food rule. But a family owned restaurant should be accommodating of a child with special dietary needs. He should not be prevented from enjoying quality time with his family or be expected to starve while everyone else eats. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled and do not feel that this reflects the open, supportive and welcoming Camarillo community. Do better. You have lost a customer.

The salsa tasted like if it was from a can and the lemons ? look and taste really old and when I told the waitress about the lemons she even got caine of mad and the service was really bad first and last time that I go to that place in Camarillo probably that food is for people that haven't eat real Mexican food cos even the meat that they use for the Molcajetes was really bad if I cut put- ⭐️I will put like -⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went here with my family and some of them are vegan. So they tried to bring outside food since Lalos does not have any vegan food. They tried to charge us for them to bring the outside food $10 a plate per person. This seems crazy because it’s not like Lalos has any vegan options. The ladies working were very rude and didn't care to try and help us at all.

(Never posted a review before & perhaps should have done this sooner. ) About a year ago, after we had a decent meal, the check came & we found that every item we ordered was a dollar or two more than what was listed on the menu. We questioned the server & she was indifferent to our concerns. We had made our selections based on what we expected to pay; would not have ordered the extras we did if we had known the true cost. If you are in the grocery store & see an item "mismarked", they still have to sell it to you at that price, don't they? The "manager" on duty said there was nothing she could (or would?) do about it. I've worked in several restaurants in my lifetime & managers ALWAYS had the capability to do something to compensate an unhappy customer. Needless to say, we have never gone back. Giving them 2 stars because the reason we used to go there was to order the Shrimp platter which is/was exceptional.

Stopped in here after hearing a lot of good things about this place. I would consider it a Mexican Seafood place as this seems to be their speciality. Their atmosphere is more relaxed, casual when compared to say Yolanda's. It gives off a Mexican Comfort Food type of vibe. I'm not a Mexican Seafood person, an neither was my wife so we stuck with traditional dishes. I ordred a two taco plate with rice and beans. Carnatis tacos and pastor. The tacos were seaved on handmade tortillas. The pastor was excellent; however, the carnitas were dry. Rice and beans were excellent. The wife ordered fajitas which were good; however, it was the first time I've ever seen broccoli in fajitas. It was also the first time I've ever seen a ketchup bottle on the table in a Mexican restrurant. Both meals were generously proportioned with a reasonable price. This place also does some cocktails and beer that you can get as well. The wife's cocktail seemed a little light on the alcohol, but the Modelo I had was excellent (as always). Chips and salsa were on par. The salsa served with the tacos was excellent! Overalll, this is an interesting place that offers a Huge variety of dishes, but seems to specialize in Seafood.
