Many of my friends have been raving about this place which also has another location fromVentura. Thus, I had to try it to see for myself how it is compared to other local Thai restaurants. I have to say that the dishes we ordered had its unique taste to it. We tasted that the dishes were a tad bit sweeter than the other restaurants. The Tom kha noodle soup was much more coconuty and thick in taste. It was delicious! We had also ordered the Pad Woon sen, pad see ew, and pad kee mao. All the dishes were delicious and filling. They had given a generous portion of food. It is located atThe corner of the center next to Cronies.Service was excellent. Ambiance was casual.

Review Alert! Rice by Mama just opened 2/17/2024. Any review older than that is for the previous restaurant, PanAsia. Pan Asia was so much better! The only improvement is that the seats have padding.Giant tvs playing streaming market scenes. You are lined up in a tight row, so when the table next to you is seating or leaving, their butt slides across your table.We waited 10 minutes for them to take our order. After ordering, another 10 minutes went by when our server returned to ask what protein I wanted, which I had stated when I originally gave her my order. Someone else's order is brought to our table and removed. 20 more minutes, and she comes back to say they don't have my dish. It's not available. By now, I'm pretty grossed out and feeling claustrophobic with 3 inches between tables and unable to have a conversation with my date without neighbors interjecting. The server comes back again and asks if I want to order, I say no, no time. More waiting. I step out to make a phone call to cancel an appointment because we are now running late. When I return, they have brought my date's meal and a menu for me. They brought him the wrong meal. Take his dishes. Wait another 10 minutes for his tofu yellow curry, which he requested as a 5 on the 1-5 spicy scale. He said it wasn't even a 1. Decent flavor, no heat. Server plunks a fork in front of me (there's already one there) as if to say I should eat his curry too. I can't eat curry. I just want out of there. They comped our drinks, oh yeah.My experience: close to an hour and a half, no edible food, claustrophobic, chaotic, Terrible.My date's experience: mediocre food and terrible service, but he got a free drink.Im never going back.

So let me start with the negative, the rations are pretty tiny, the amount of dressing given with the lunch salad is barely enough to wet your tongue and the drop of dipping sauce for the eggroll is barely enough for 1 eggroll by itself. Two Thai teas w/ boba were ordered and it was filled to the brim with ice, so much that it was difficult to poke a straw through the cup to make it to the boba. You can’t help but feel the stinginess in the air. However they do make up for it by great tasting food and service.

We had lunch at Rice by Mama in Camarillo, which just opened yesterday in the spot next to the closed 3-screen movie theater on Lantana. We know a lot of people who’ve been to the Ventura location but this was our first time eating at Rice by Mama. WOW, is it good! We got pad thai and green curry plus thai iced coffee and thai iced tea. The flavor of the noodles and curry had a richness that is rare. This might already be the best Thai food in Camarillo

I definitely was convinced to visit this place because of the high reviews. Unfortunately for me, I strongly disagree with all the positive reviews regarding the food. The pad see ew, beef fried rice and orange chicken lacked so much flavor! The food was bland and the only time the waitress came over was to drop off the food. The restaurant itself, was clean and pretty empty for a Friday lunch hour. However, I did enjoy the Thai iced tea and egg rolls.

ATTENTION ALL THAI LOVERS!!!!...November 2023 they will be changing ownership. Please go and see this is one of the rare Thai places doing everything fresh still. Nothing we ate was frozen! YES, it takes time and yes it seemed the person who took our ordered didn't really "take" our order since things that were ordered were ordered incorrectly or written down wrong. YES, it took a longggg time but I PROMISE YOU this is the freshest Thai place I've been to. Crab Rangoons are FILLED! No place does it like Pan Asia! PATIENCE people! We're born into a society of instant gratification, I'm a human timer I've worked at so many restaurants. The prices are right, the food is beyond made with love, and if you have good company, it's the perfect long dinner you didn't know you needed. GO BEFORE NOVEMBER 15th after it will be owned by Rice by Mama; don't get me wrong they're good but Pan Asia is something special.

The location is off Daily Drive & N Lantana St. On the Right side in the Corner right next to Cronies and Paseo Camarillo Theater, In Camarillo, California. This is our #1 Thai Restaurant which we Love to eat there! The Restaurant is always very Clean & All the workers and owner are very Sweet & Kind! The Food is Amazing & Super Delicious. Any chance we get we Love to eat there! Everything is super fresh & they have great portions & even when you order to take out! I love their website it's very easy to navigate & the pictures really do help. I Highly Recommend This Thai Restaurant to all my Family & Friends!! See you soon

This is probably one of the best Thai food I have tried in a while. We ordered crispy Tofu, egg rolls,pineapple fried rice with shrimp, pad Thai with tofu and veggies, Seafood Tom kha, and stir flat noodles with shrimp. The portion is good, price is very reasonable. This is our first time here and none of the dish let us down. Highly recommended!
