We had lunch at Rice by Mama in Camarillo, which just opened yesterday in the spot next to the closed 3-screen movie theater on Lantana. We know a lot of people who’ve been to the Ventura location but this was our first time eating at Rice by Mama. WOW, is it good! We got pad thai and green curry plus thai iced coffee and thai iced tea. The flavor of the noodles and curry had a richness that is rare. This might already be the best Thai food in Camarillo
ATTENTION ALL THAI LOVERS!!!!...November 2023 they will be changing ownership. Please go and see this is one of the rare Thai places doing everything fresh still. Nothing we ate was frozen! YES, it takes time and yes it seemed the person who took our ordered didn't really "take" our order since things that were ordered were ordered incorrectly or written down wrong. Many of my friends have been raving about this place which also has another location fromVentura. Thus, I had to try it to see for myself how it is compared to other local Thai restaurants. I have to say that the dishes we ordered had its unique taste to it. We tasted that the dishes were a tad bit sweeter than the other restaurants.
