Great place for appetizers, happy hour, ambience, and good music. We saw Smokey and Friends play, they were so good I don't think I'd ever wanna come back unless they were playing. The service was a bit slow. And we had to keep flagging down our waitress. If you are looking for a big meal, don't. All the plates are pretty small. Other than their salad, they look large and amazing.

What a treat to find a fantastic restaurant near us! We had a small group there last weekend and absolutely loved it! Appetizers were delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entrees. Our friend said the scallops were the best he's ever had! They also had a terrific singer/guitar player that really added to the already cool atmosphere. Don't miss this place!

On a recent outing with friends, we found ourselves drawn to the outdoor patio, where comfy seats and a warm ambiance set the stage for an unforgettable meal. Had a great time at Onyx last night. Not sure why I waited so long to try this place. The restaurant had a really nice aesthetic and felt very welcoming. I sat on the outside patio and the whole experience was relaxing. They have a pretty nice selection of beer and wine here, but of course the food was the star of the show. Some of the things that were sampled were the flying pig flatbread which had a really great salty and sweet flavor to it. The caprese flatbread which tasted great as well. I tried these caprese skewers that were very refreshing and you could tell the ingredients were really high quality. Hummus with pita was really fresh and had a great deep, hummus flavor. I saved the best for last... The brisket potato skins! I really couldn't get enough of these smokey, buttery treats. Service was excellent and friendly, can't wait to go back for more.

Small bites is my absolute favorite way to eat a meal and Onyx has an amazing assortment of delectable small bites that make for a fun happy hour experience. They have full size entrees too. But luckily everyone I was with agreed on the small bites to try many things strategy. Thinly sliced marinated ribeye wrapped asparagus with a Korean bbq sauce - fun playful textures, perfectly cooked steak wrapped around al dente asparagus. My mom literally used her fingers to mop up every last lick of sauce! It was pretty funny. Roasted cauliflower- simple yet elegantly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Brussels sprouts are my weakness and these did not disappoint. Organic Brussels sprouts topped with cashew cilantro lime sauce, cotija cheese, pumpkin seeds & smoked paprika-- mmm this was a party in my mouth. Heartbeet Salad - spring mix, red and gold beets, pomegranate seeds, toasted pinenuts, red onion & goat cheese with a sumac vinaigrette - the combination of goat cheese and sumac vinaigrette was fresh and perky. The different textures and savory/sweet flavors really worked well together. Flatbread - fig jam, mozzarella, bacon, topped with fresh arugula. As the name suggests- the sweet of the fig jam, partnered with the savory of the bacon with the creamy mozzarella made me enjoy this more than I thought I would. The peppery tang of fresh arugula was a welcome foil to the chewy pizza crust- not quite flatbread- more a regular crust pizza - but hey, no complaints at all. For dessert - we tried the maple honey crème brûlée, the sugar was a touch burned but not unpalatable and the custard was spot on. I'm truly excited to have found this place. It's a welcome addition to the Camarillo food scene.

The owner and servers at this establishment really make sure you enjoy your food and experience there. Not only was the service great but the food was absolutely delicious too! Everything we ordered we completely finished and when we asked questions for recommendations between items the server even stopped by the table to show us to help us decide between multiple plates. I would definitely recommend this fine establishment to anyone who enjoys some amazing food with great options of wine.

Had a wonderful time coming to dine here! Everything to the service and food was delightful. Every worker was attentive even the owner was on the floor helping which is lovely to see because you don't see that a lot in restaurants. Both inside and outside seating is so welcoming and cute. The menu has so many great options it's hard to choose I was most excited for my entree! I highly recommend coming in the food was top tier and I will definitely be coming back!
Meeting friends for dinner and conversation. Needed outdoor seating. Our friends recommended Onyx Bistro. Great suggestion. No problem getting a table for 4 on the patio on a Friday night at 7 PM. Our server came by soon after we sat to get our drink orders and answer questions about the menu. My wife and I decided to share the Wild Mushroom Bucatini ($22) and the Flying Pig Flatbread ($17). The flying pig was loaded with salami prosciutto and bacon and had a hot honey drizzle. Phenomenal!!! The bucatini is a spaghetti-like pasta in a miso cashew cream sauce (not too heavy) loaded with sautéed mushrooms, sesame seeds, and scallions. OMG - delish!!!Great food, terrific ambiance, and good service. Only gripe is that the menu is pretty limited but clearly some very good options to choose from. We will definitely be back . . . Soon

Classy-tastic!!! Nevaeh was THE BEST Hostess. She is truly the glitter that makes this place sparkle. Our waitress was very attentive yet, allowing us to enjoy our meal and conversation all whilst the strumming of a Spanish guitar. Fresh roses adorned the tabletops, and the ambiance was cozy under the moon and stars ? ?We had the Baked Brie and Loaded Mac'n'Cheese with Brisket and wine to mellow out. So so good!!!Great place to relax to live music, eat cozy gourmet culinary cuisine, and enjoy a girls night out.

Came here with a few friends for a girls night on a Saturday and we had the best time! It's located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. It wasn't too crowded in the early evening and we were seated right away. There's a beautiful outdoor patio but we opted to sit inside and enjoy the live music. We ordered some drinks and a ton of appetizers and items to share (tapas style) and everything was delicious. All of the food is fantastic and there are so many delicious gluten free options. The gf sweet potato gnocchi is such a treat for those of us who don’t usually have a lot of good pasta choices.
