“Hibachi-San on base at Camp Pendleton is one of those spots that never disappoints. The staff is friendly, professional, and always welcoming they greet you the second you walk through the door, which makes the place feel inviting right away. The restaurant is consistently clean and well-kept, from the kitchen area to the dining tables, which says a lot about how much pride they take in their work.

The service is quick, even during the lunch rush, and the team handles every order with care. The food is fresh, hot, and cooked right in front of you, so you always know what you’re getting. Whether it’s the chicken teriyaki, beef yakisoba, or the classic fried rice, everything tastes just as good as it smells. Portions are generous, and you get great value for what you pay.

It’s clear the crew works hard to keep customers happy they remember faces, get orders right, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. In a fast-paced setting like Camp Pendleton, it’s nice to have a place that’s consistent, clean, and welcoming. Hibachi-San is easily one of the best food stops on base and worth coming back to every time.”

“Excellent service at this location! Very friendly. Offered swaps on sides and asked us if we wanted refills on our lemonade at no extra charge. Offered to remake an order for the group in front of us because the group was picking up their food late, and it had got cold. Food is delicious, as always, hits the spot!”

“I R A grunt so this will always be a minimum of four stars. The foods better, the workers are better, quality is better, cleanliness is better. In fact I wish they cared about us as much to make grunt chowhalls like this. Cheap food but affordable. Would come back if I was in the area. “I recommend this location only because you can only have pizza so many times. In our experience whenever we order without being in the store (for pickup) we have a 50% chance of our food being totally wrong. When it’s right, it’s my favorite fast sub place and is ?! But… Tonight was particularly frustrating. We ordered 2 wraps, a bowl and a sub. Every single item was wrong. Of course, we don’t know that until we get home and open the food. I’m not one to call and complain because there’s nothing I can do now at 6:30pm but for $56, I expect there to be at least an effort to customize the sandwiches in the way we took the time to select on the Jersey Mikes app. Make sure you double check every time and from now on I’ll only order in store so I can watch and check when it’s made. Not very convenient with 4 kids, so I suppose we won’t go there often. Sorry!”

“This my one of my top 10 favorite places to go. Everything on their menu is great, my go tos are the Raw PB bowl and the matcha mentality. They have the best acai bowls in the area and are what I consider the base line for all acai bowl places. You will not be disappointed.”

“For a McDonald's it's as good as it gets. The staff are friendly courteous respectful. Food is as expected from any McDonald's franchise. I think being on a Marine corp facility the staff aren't as brain dead as facilities not on military installations. I travel to a great many military installations for work, this has amazing been the best of any as of yet. Yes I recommend”

“The most scrumptious raw chicken and undercooked rice that a human being could hope for. I walked into the restaurant greeted by Gordon Ramsay himself who knelt down on one knee and offered me his undercooked beef Wellington. The chow Hall workers rejoiced at my return to this timeless establishment and asked if I would like to have an interview with the one and only fry cook SpongeBob SquarePants. Sadly, however, I did not get to talk to him as Mr. Krabs declared he would make no money from such encounters. Afterwards Squidward Tentacles got angry at me and demanded I leave this blessed establishment. 10/10 experience, a real life changer. Would recommend you eat there ??”

“We visited at about 0820 on a Saturday morning. We were the only ones inside getting service and yhere was traffic in the drive thru. Dunkin' was clean and well stocked. There are 3 or 4 tables available to sit down and dine indoors.The bathroom needed attention but this was otherwise a pleasant experience.”

“This location is within the gates of a military installation and base access is required. Located near the air station, it is convenient to access. The staff was friendly and thorough in ensuring my order was correct. The food was served hot at fresh.”

“Soo so good! Their dishes are unique and hearty! My favorite dish was the Eggplant. There was so much, it was shared among the three of us, one of which does not like eggplant… yet she loved this dish! The food was a nice fusion of Balinese and Western. They managed it perfectly! We can’t wait to try a few more of their dishes! Oh, and the dessert was heavenly! And to top it off, awesome 80s music in the background.🎶”

“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.”

“Red Chickz’ chicken sandwich is amazing. The seasoning is habit worthy. Sooo tasty! The chicken, the fries, the cheese curds - everything is delicious. Even the cauliflower bites have the seasoning on it. I get the ‘Cool’ style - which basically means all the seasoning but no heat. But that’s just me. It’s amazing.

The owner, Mike, is super friendly. I see him come out to talk to people all the time. He spoke with my husband and I for quite a bit. I’m so impressed at the ingredients he uses and the care he takes in hiring certain employees and then how he treats them. He seems very conscientious.
