The owner welcomed us and served us, and we had a very nice conversation too. Please guys go and visit to keep this place up and running. What would we do without a place like this in the bay.“
“Good food, AMAZING rice. The service was great and quick, the guy who took my order was very kind and welcoming. The lady who served our food was also very kind! Once receiving my food I grabbed some utensils from the side and will say the food is great is you're looking for Caribbean food, the chicken is seasoned well and the salsa they give is good. Definitely recommend the mango drink they have, probably my favorite part of the meal!“

Can you guys sell the jerk sauce by the gallon please? And I'd like subscription to the plantains.“
“Back A Yard on San Carlos St, San Jose. Within the SJSU neighborhood. A nice place with no seating inside, 4 tables outside the store gives that home feeling of having a BBQ in your own backyard. I’m glad i ordered the Oxtails plate, the dish came with Rice and Beans and d Plantains on the side, the Jerk seasoning was a sweet and tangy blend with a smoky allspice aftertaste. The stew was mildly hot, the Beans and Rice were mixed together with coconut notes at the end, the plate was served with sweet Fried Plantain, a good size meal. I had a side of Collard Greens, the chop leaves were steamed hot with a slightly bitter taste.Parking: I parked three blocks away. Hard to find open parking“
“Our whole family likes this restaurant! Me personally, I’d like to try many different dishes, but I can’t really get beyond my favorites, the oxtails and curry goat combo. My wife likes the ribs a lot. Delicious food from a small local business, what could be better!“
