Serious breads and crunchy baguette. I love their Monkey Breads (sweet or savory). Make sure to try out their buttery Kouign-amann and indulgent muffins. Their sandwich - specifically the turkey sandwich - are generously served, and they have a nice selection of coffees and lattes to wash all of this down.

Good food and coffee, uncool service charge.I frequently go to Manresa Bread to purchase bags of Verve coffee beans to use at home. Recently, I've noticed a service charge (and sales tax) added to my bill. When asked, the manager was kind enough to remove the additions and claimed the service charge is to help them "stay afloat". I filled out the contact form on MB's website inquiring about if the service charge is supposed to be applied to the purchase of coffee beans and did not receive a reply. (Edit: after following up, I did receive a nice reply explaining the surcharge.)Service charges are non-transparent way of raising prices which is already uncool, but applying them to takeout orders, or simply a purchased bag of coffee, is not acceptable.Disappointed with this non-transparent pricing practice by an otherwise fantastic restaurant.

The best breads in the south bay, with the worst checkout and line management I have ever seen. This place constantly has a line, and deters me most of the time. It does not need to be this way, they just need to do a better job at being effective and then they wouldn’t loose so many customersDo a better job, get five stars.

They do not take Cash. So I couldn't buy a sandwich. What is up with that. I find not taking cash ridiculous ?

I took a plain croissant which was unfortunately stale and my friend took an almond croissant… same! Not fresh and it was 9:00am. Better experience at Maison Alyzée or Mademoiselle Colette.

I went for brunch and it was really noisy because there were so many people. However, the staff and food were generally clean.

First time here, stopped in while exploring the area. Breads and pastries looked great. Tried a turkey sandwich ($16) and chia seed pudding with fresh fruit ($12) - both were a good size and flavorful. Also had a couple of coffees (Verve Roasting) and they were well made and delicious. There’s enough tables and chairs to stay and work. Unfortunately knocked a star because of a lack of attention and cleanliness in restrooms.

Stopped in for breakfast after an appointment nearby and it was delicious! The mushroom quiche was excellent and loaded with a variety of mushrooms. It was a hearty portion and filled me up.I enjoyed my cafe au lait and got a chocolate croissant to go. It looks flaky and amazing and I can't wait to eat it later!

Time: November, Wednesday 9:30 AMWeather: Chilly, very overcastVibe: Relaxed, elevated, a bit EuropeanWhat I Had: Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich (sub. biscuit), Flat WhiteHighlights: décor, table service, perfect bacon, played songs I likeSummary @ bottomI have sat down at many cafés in my life - but after only two visits, Manresa Bread has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. I admit I am a sucker for slightly upscale European eateries, so no surprise that I adore the décor & food. It is a gorgeous mix of clean, modern furnishings but it doesn't feel clinical and sanitized - rather, the choice of wood (a beautiful red oak!), blue paint, and subtle colorful tiles contribute to a warm & playful interior that feels refreshing without being cold. Plenty of indoor seating, no outdoor. We're in downtown Campbell, so street parking can be a bit tricky. There are plenty of spots but also plenty of customers at rush hour. At 9:30 AM, there were a few spots here and there. Protip: lots of spaces if you just go "behind" the buildings. On a Wednesday the place wasn't packed but had a good amount of people. But onto the food - you order at a counter but they will bring your food out to you and clean up as well. I had the biscuit & jam ($8) and later a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich ($14). They've recently switched to a "poppyseed roll" but were perfectly fine with substituting a biscuit in my order. This item was absolutely incredible: it was a soft, huge, SUPER flaky buttermilk biscuit - a very modern & high-effort interpretation of a biscuit. I'm very picky about my bacon but this was amazing. It was melty, smoky, just a gentle bit chewy, not at all underdone or overly salty. I have never had such a high-effort, high-attention to detail B.E.C. in my life. FYI there is an "onion jam" in it which was tasty but gave the sandwich a very tangy undertone, so if you don't like tangy flavors consider getting it on the side. 10/10Unfortunately - and this is why it's four not five stars - I am not a huge fan of the coffee served here. As others have said it feels somewhat underwhelming, both in flavor and strength. Please be aware I am a huge coffee snob, so take this opinion with a grain of salt. If you like gentler coffee you'll love it here. I like strong roasts with dark, complex flavors so I have a bias against this style of beverage. In closing: great food, fun & slightly upscale atmosphere. However, if you're a big coffee person don't expect high-end artisanal coffee roasts. They have a nice selection of both sweet and savory pastries, some pretty unique (first time seeing a 'Kouign Amann') and a modest menu with delicious food. Highly recommend for anyone who likes these sorts of cafes.

Tasty food, lots of menu options, nice environment, clean, really friendly staff, and well-run. Overall, it's a fantastic place for a meal--I highly suggest trying it out!
