Manresa Bread Commissary Reviews
In the Palo Alto store today, I asked if they had an almond croissant and the woman behind the counter snapped “No, we have the almond escargot now, and they’re here to stay” - like I was the 100th person this morning to ask for an almond croissant. Lol. Not sure why they’ve stopped doing them. The almond escargot is not very good. The pastries here are in the $5-$7 range. There is very little seating.
Haven’t had the desserts yet, but I loved the whole wheat and Lepain loaves. Nice that they will slice the loaves for you if you like!
Yummy everything but the Kouign-Amann are sensational!

Manresa Bread Commissary offers a delightful array of coffee, pastries, and bread. Their croissants and bread receive high praise for their flakey and buttery texture. Popular items include the sausage egg sandwich and bacon egg Sammie, although some customers find the egg overcooked and bacon undercooked. The café is a good spot for a quick breakfast and coffee in downtown Campbell, featuring a relaxed atmosphere with neutral colors, jazz music, and a friendly staff. The Monkey Bread is especially noted as delicious, and the smoked salmon on toast is well-received. Cleanliness at this location seems to be better than other Manresa Bread spots, making it a nice place to enjoy a cup of Verve coffee. While some find the pastries like the Almond Escargot to be decent but not outstanding, the overall experience is generally positive, with many enjoying the ambiance and the yummy drinks. Though prices can be steep, the quality of the baked goods and coffee is well-regarded.
