Omg this place feels like a scam. I remember coming here so many years ago maybe 5 yrs ago and it was such a different vibe. Bustling and cozy. Went on Sunday during the day, empty and weird vibe. Like one of those makeshift asian stores inside with a weird stand on the left and the chocolates, gelatos, and barefoot coffee beans on the right. The chocolates LOOK good, but they are not good. Boyfriend described the chocolates as tasting floury and all the "different" flavors taste similar. They're pricey and not worth it for what it is. It's not artisan chocolates like at Alexander Patisserie. I can't speak for the gelato but don't get the chocolates. I wouldnt come here ever.

We stopped to meet up with a family member and get some ice cream (which was not working yet). They were gracious to allow us to hang together and bring our own food. I bought a tea to make up for it. The atmosphere is really fun and once they have ice-cream, will be a great place to meet ?

The gelato was great! Creamy, delicious, not too sweet. Spoons are cute!Coffee is pretty mediocare. The review is mainly for the place. The lack of hospitality here is upsetting! There is a man sitting in the corner behind a counter half asleep -that looks like belongs to usps - listening to videos laudly. No music or anything that makes the place ambiance. Feels like they just want your money and want you out even though they have 5 tables inside. Windows need serious cleaning as well as all other glass surfaces. I hope they can sort these out as it would be a really good place!

Excellent traditional and Italian ice creams, homemade chocolate shop, indoor table, calm.

I went earlier today and I wanted the mocha with a scoop of gelato and whipped cream. (Andrea deluxe) Unfortunately, the man who was working there didn’t understand English. I didn’t buy anything for myself. I bought 2 chocolates for my brother & an espresso for him which wasn’t good; too much ice, etc. Please hire employees who can speak English. You will loose customers. Horrible service!

Very cute and quaint ice cream shop located in downtown Cambell. They had all the typical flavors you would find at any other ice cream shop. I got the mint chocolate ships with a waffle cone. If you get ice cream in a cup the spoon is a little shovel which I thought was so adorable. They have other things too, like chocolates, and drinks. If you're looking for something sweet, I would come by this place.

Denise filled my truffle favor order in a pinch. They were beautiful & delicious. Everyone commented on how pretty and tasty they were. If I need more chocolates in the future, I will definitely reorder.

I had high hopes for their chocolate after seeing all the of raving reviews at this place. I decided to treat myself one day walking down in downtown Campbell and purchased 2 truffles: 1 galaxy and 1 passion fruit one (can't remember the exact names). I'll give it to Snake & Butterfly for having beautifully made truffles, and the staff is also very friendly and helpful. However, I think for the price (it was ~$6 for 2 truffles after tax), the truffles really missed the mark. The chocolates themselves did not have much of a chocolately/milky taste to it. The filling in the galaxy one was good, but not great. I liked the passion fruit filling more, but it was definitely not worth $3 for one (maybe 2) bites. I would suggest going somewhere else if you want nice chocolately truffles, I can't speak for the other stuff they have in store.

Sitting on the outskirts of downtown Campbell, there is a cute chocolate shop called "Snake & Butterfly." Before you go in, you'll notice the sun cover decorated with many sparkling hearts. It was warm inside. For a hot summer day, a little air conditioning can be nice. The tables are decorated with local papers about the art and classes offered in Campbell and surrounding cities. It is cool to know what is going on locally. The server greeted me with a smile and there were many ice cream flavor options.I chose the mint chocolate chip ice cream small cup. I think the small cup is quite enough for s good summer dessert. It was fresh and I particularly like this chocolate because it is broken and sliced in many pieces, making it easy to blend in with the mint ice cream. As I rest my arm down, I noticed my arm had some chocolate stains. There were some chocolate stains on the table, so the tables and the chairs can use some cleaning. The server was very nice and I wish they opened with more hours so I can try the ice cream after dinner.

The Snake and Butterfly shop is well known in the area for its chocolate, you can find it sold in various coffee shops and other places. It is top quality chocolate, I prefer its dark chocolate selection. They also saw a variety of other things such as ice cream, and it's a coffee shop in its own right as well.I like this place but I feel they could make it more compelling, if feels a little randomly laid out. I think with just a little bit of work they could make this a nice place to go with friends and enjoy some coffee, chocolate or ice cream. Also just a selection of pastries, such as a croissant to go with a coffee would make a real difference as a place to go and just relax and hang.In short it is a good place to go and get a coffee, but I don't go as often as I would just because I feel they could do a bit more to make the place more interesting. It is still definitely recommended. The service was decent and attentive to our enjoyment.

$3.95 for a cup of coffee. They used Kirkland Colombian pre-ground coffee to make an espresso to then water down for coffee. They do not use Barefoot anymore. I couldn't get a pour over. The gelato was iced so hard the woman could not scoop it out. Sadly, the quality of the shop has gone down substantially. I would recommend avoiding it until there's a signal that they're returning to better ingredients and quality.

I sampled six different chocolate truffles, including cherry & white chocolate, orange & dark chocolate and marzipan.Overall the look is 5/5 stars, the smell is inexistent (mostly because covered by other sugar coating, taste was quite below par, but the worst part was the texture: absolutely a piece of rock.Whoever makes the chocolate truffles in that store hasn't tasted them, or tried what's it like to have them served to you from the shelf because are absolutely impossible to bite into.Texture is enormously important to the chocolate experience. A smooth and creamy melt-in-your-mouth texture is so seductive, that many people are more influenced by texture than by flavor.

I don't know what happened but it changed. Before the flavors of gelato was unique and creative but now it is just so so.

So disappointed. These are not the same as they were 3 years ago when I came across the store. They may LOOK the same but the contents are a disappointment. The chocolate is grainy like it crystallized somewhere in the cooking process. Some of the shells have little of the chocolate that I came to love. Unfortunately, this last purchase will be the final one.
