California Pizza Kitchen at Topanga

Only come here if you are okay with waiting 40-45 minutes for your food to arrive which you finish in 5-10 minutes. This isn't the first time either, this is the second time (In a row) we have waited an absurdly long time for just 3 food items; Pizza, Pasta, and French fries.

Worst service. Waited 30 mins just for water to be served to kids. Took almost an hour for drinks to come. Painfully agonisingly long wait for food to arrive. We then had to go fetch the silverware.

Asked for a side of ranch and waited 90 minutes. Food was burnt but cold. And to top it off there was a hair in my food. Server took 20 minutes to take my order.

Last day with my wife after shopping on mall we entered cpk before 4 PM a young lady pointed out our place but no one came to us for about 35 minutes. An older lady came and we gave the order for special meal before 4pm
The waitress said that the time for the special meal had passed and she treated it with very bad tone that I never saw you in restaurant before, the tables next to us emphasis that we sit here for long time and no one came to take order, we left because of the rudeness of the waiter.

We were shopping at the mall and decided to grab some CPK to take home. We are so happy we did. It was all perfect. We heated it up just a bit and had a great dinner.

The place is so cute and clean and the service is great, even for take away. We loved the person who helped us.

We had a loaded pizza, a 5 cheese, great bread and the best red velvet cake. It was all as ordered and we will go back there again.

They are fast, there is a place to sit while you wait or you can shop and pick it up. We were just so happy.

Online order shows that it went through. Hours later, I get an email, 15 min before pick up time, that order may not have gone through and that I need to call the restaurant. Restaurant staff was confused when I called. Why make me believe, for several hours, that the order was fine, until 15 min before? That's the time I'm driving there and looking for parking to go pick up. What a waste of time and energy. The staff answering the phone offered no solution and just put me on hold several times. Another disrespectful waste of time. I will never do an online order there again.

I used to love this place for their salads. Yesterday 6/21/24 I got a Thai crunch salad and it was so sad to see have
how they don’t care about chopping the veggies carefully and the green onions were just a big chunk along with big pieces of cilantro they put. I asked for extra dressing because it’s so little what they give but they didn’t care and didn’t add the extra dressing, you guys should be more careful with the food quality because it’s pricey. Thanks!

Great, classic, California Pizza Kitchen location.Nothing better or worse than an average CPK, but inside the mall so convenient stop during/at the end of a long day of shopping. Strangely enough, their West Coast Burger is actually amazing, but their pizza and pasta options are solid too

It broke my heart to leave a mediocre review because CPK has always been my "go to" dinner spot with my family after shopping. We enjoyed the pizza, as always, it was fresh and delicious. However, the chicken picatta lacked flavor and the chicken was extremely dry. Our server was pleasant and attentive, wish I could say the same for the hostess and welcome area. They were not friendly, and downright rude. I received a text to alert the hostess that we received a text that our table will be ready soon. I had done just that but still noticed 3 larger size families got seated first. I asked the hostess what was going on and she sarcastically said "Oh, you lost your spot." I said "Since the text I have been standing right next to you." She responded, "I didn't notice." That's exactly it, she was non attentive and rude. She never apologized and sat us at a table without a word and a bad attitude.Once seated our server provided great service, pleasant and clean experience. Maybe this franchise needs to train the front of house staff.
