Gyu-Kaku

It's a cool experience but the restaurant is worn down. It's as if they don't really care for their presence anymore. The food was pretty good but it definitely adds up after awhile.

The food and the experience overall was great. Some improvements that could be done would be to lower the music in the restaurant so groups can chat without yelling, bathrooms need to be maintained and install an easier ordering system. It will make it easier on the waiters/waitresses and consumers. Tablets with all of the menu items that can be selected and orders sent directly to the kitchen would be ideal. Or install the buttons at each table to call your waiter/waitresses when they are needed.

They are closing this site on May 31.I will visit one more time to cry, laugh, and think about what is next for these good people.

I had a disappointing experience with our waiter. He was a tall, fit, young man in his late twenties, though I didn't catch his name. Throughout the meal, he displayed a lack of professionalism; he didn't smile, appeared condescending, and even gave attitude when asked for items. Additionally, instead of focusing on his duties, he seemed more interested in flirting with another waitress. At the end of the meal, when we were settling the bill, he presumptuously assumed he could keep the change as his tip, rather than letting us decide.

This BBQ Japanese restaurant’s foods are full of flavor and so delicious all dishes then service are excellent then cleanness.as well.

We got there at the moment the door opened due to an unfortunate let down at swatch, so needless to say that we weren’t in the best of moods.That being said, from the moment we walked up, to being greeted and seated, the staff created an environment that was very warm welcoming.Our server was Manny and we could not have been happier with the service from ordering, to presentation, to recommendations on the order of meats we should grill, to bringing our check. The entire time we were so pleased by the service that though we were let down by another business, we left Topanga Mall very happy and satisfied.?We got the Meat Lovers order for 2, BOMB!!!

We came today and had such an awesome experience.Glenn was our server, and he was fantastic. He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. Bacon chips, cucumbers, and spicy shrimp were the best. Glenn even made sure we had drinks to go, which was super sweet.Thanks for a fabulous lunch! We'll be back.

Walked up to the front desk, we requested a table for two, the two employees standing at the front counter, went back and fourth with each other in a immature manner as to who would help us with our request, ( our request was to dine in at the establishment) after such encounter we decided to take our business and hard earned money elsewhere.

Dirty restaurant and dirty bathroom. Won’t be returning.

I decided to take my best friend, whom I haven't seen for awhile, to one of the best Japanese meat places since he loves meats. I got the reservation @ 2pm and got there on time. We were seated right away. Unfortunately , we were warned that they don't have all you can eat at the moment, because they ran out of meats due to Valentine's day. Are they serious??? Valentine's day was Wednesday and we were there a couple of days later!!! Anyway, we took it since we were famished. If we weren't, I could've driven to Sherman Oaks or Valencia...so disappointing! Food was less, mediocre, and a bit overpriced. Atmosphere was okay. Just wished they replaced the tables-they looked old and dirty. Service was really good. The worse part our experience was the restroom. The floor leading to the restroom looked shabby. The women's restroom was so dingy, run down, and neglected! There are three stalls; only one of them works. It was a mess; toilet papers all over the place. It wasn't even busy, how come nobody could clean it?? My best friend also complained about the men's restroom-how dirty it was. I was so embarrassed. I haven't seen him in 2 years and I decided to take him here. It was definitely a huge disappointment. I think that would be my last time dining at least in this location!
