There are good size portions at the Vanowen restaurant. However, the meals were lukewarm. I asked for a grilled chicken salad grilled fresh not warmed up in a microwave but didn't get it fresh and the chicken was dry. When I placed the order I asked for extra dressing because it is a large specialty salad. When it came to the table they wanted to charge for the dressing. So they cost themselves the tip. Happy Mother's Day to me! Oh well, fool me once...

Wow wow wow. This is some gooooood comfort food! I ordered the combo plate with one chicken and cheese enchilada with rice and beans, send salsa on the side and a soda... Came to around $20 and it was definitely worth it. I am stuffed like a turkey on Thanksgiving and the food tasted so delicious. It was my first time at this specific location but I will say it's just as good as the other one I've been to I will definitely be back here! staff is very nice and hard-working. Make sure you come with a loose waistband and a nice comfy hoodie because you will be stuffed 10 out of 10.

Go eat here! I looooove this place! I go to pierce and don't live close and I was starving, found this place and it's sooooo good and definitely worth the little amount of money they ask for.

I have only tried the tamales, but every time I go there I just have to keep getting them bc they are so good. The masa is fluffy and moist. Ask for their green sauce on top, it goes very well with pork and chicken filling. The sweet corn tamales are also delicious and only cost $2.50. They save very well, so if you don't finish it, just make sure it's well wrapped so it doesnt dry out and you can steam or microwave them to reheat. The restaurant is very clean and the staff has always been nice and helpful to me. I appreciate the fact that you can get a great meal without spending $20. It's what keeps me coming back on a regular basis.

Love their taco Tuesday and taco salad. Have eaten here for years and all of their locations in the valley

This location is new to us as of last year. We live in Tarzana and use to drive to the Chatsworth location. We do a lot of takeout, and although this location has a dining section, the takeout is every bit as well prepared, presented, and delicious. My philosophy is to commend people for a great job with as much vigor as you would if you were complaining of a bad job. Well, I was delighted to have called the staff at the Winnetka location to let them know that we couldn't have been served a better meal. Our order was ready when I arrived, I was checked out with a smile, I was happy to leave a tip, and my wife and I were gratified emensely with the meal. Thanks a Million to our Winnetka Mission Burito...Once again!! Two more satisfied customers!

The food was very good. I am very impressed. I had a cheese enchilada, a chile relleno and rice and beans. The staff was very friendly. The power had gone out and they went out of their way to be helpful. I will be going back.

Best Mexican Food in the Valley... Mission Burrito on Vanowen is our go-to spot for authentic Mexican food. The beef tamales are amazing! Also recommend cheese enchiladas, and steak fajitas. Fair prices, great food!

Food was great , service not so much. When ordering, the cashier was giving my girlfriend major attitude. My girlfriend was trying to explain to her what she wanted and was asking questions about what the plate comes with. It was obvious that she needed help and needed all the information while ordering. I always give the person the benefit of the doubt and didn’t think too much of it. I still tipped 20% when I paid upfront, but when my girlfriend did not get any sour cream with her order, she asked the lady and she replied rudely you will have to pay for it. My girlfriend did not want to run my card again and was kind of upset. I thought it was a little absurd since sour cream is probably $.25, and I already tipped a good amount. My food was great, but as a man if my girlfriend is not happy, then I am not happy. No Bueno.

The service was the only thing that was somewhat nice The restaurant is not very clean but the food is terrible. The so called steak is disappointing, it's literally boiled meat cut and thrown in a tortilla with the salsa. For me it's one and done

Plates of Mexican food, pitchers of beer, and a salsa bar. Less of a “first date” kinda place, more of a “every Friday night after work” favorite.Parking: 24 spacesWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, close to door parking, it has booths but also plenty of tables with chairs in the back, and they will bring the food to you.
