The most awkward service I've ever experienced. I couldn't tell if our server was a teenager or a young adult in trying to excuse just how awkward she was acting with how she was giving service Sushi was tasty, Got the Spicy tuna crunch and the Thousand Oaks rolls but the pieces are massive! Practically had to unhinge my jaw to take a bite. Also got the Curry chicken bowl and Teriyaki chicken bowl, both were disappointing. The rice was solid no complaints, but the chicken was very dry for being in a curry, the curry was basic, more like a soup than a curry, and the teriyaki was bland For dessert we got the banana split and that was the first time I was ever given a fork to eat ice cream. Looked great and the ice cream was good but the deep fried bananas were a little bruised on the inside and tasted kind of old, and were really hard which explains the forks instead of spoons. To eat in an environment that felt dated and a grand total of $77 dollars I expected much much more, definitely not recommended, maybe the ramen is the redeeming factor, not sure id be willing to go back to find out.

This is the best shusi hands down! We tried to find something close with no success! It's been about 18 years since i first got addicted to this place! When you were closed, we literally suffered and did without sushi...so happy your back! We love this place! Highly recommend to all!

Popped in here to meet a friend for lunch today. It’s a hidden gem this place. Nothing fancy, but outstanding food. I always stop here when I’m the area.

A rather lackluster experience that left me and my guest quite unimpressed. Firstly, the amount of sweet sauces that was used on everything from sashimi to sushi rolls left us unable to taste much once we left. Some things needed a savory taste rather than the default sweet taste that works well with the general populace.Secondly, when I ordered the anago (sea eel), it was overcooked and had the bones flaying out from every side of the meat. Those bones are small and flexible so not the biggest deal, but for 30+ dollars I expected them gone and the meat cooked properly.I also ordered the yellowtail collar which is one of my favorites and it was also overcooked, losing the buttery-fatty taste that I expect and being sadly left with something that was no better than an overcooked salmon that I could have bought for 5-7 dollars instead of another 20.Service was good, just the food is overpriced for the quality. Spent a hundred and thirty dollars for two and was less satisfied than if I spent sixty and went to a generic all you can eat sushi place because at least then I would have expected average to below average quality food.

Wanted to try this for a while & was glad to see it reopened after the fire. The ambience is really nice , service great, and the food was delicious. Nothing is cheap anymore, & this was no different, but well worth it. I got a bento combo, spouse got carried away with different sushi rolls. Glad we found our new sushi place & will be back.

1/09/2024The Ramen was superb. Natalie was nice and the place was very clean. The environment had good vibes. The price was more affordable than the other place I have been. I will defenitely come back and try other stuff. My overall experiebce was top notch.

Pork ramen was delicious! We also had the thousand oaks roll, I love sushi but the California roll is the only one I dislike, but this one was very tasty, we will be back to try more sushi.

Very expensive place for such poor quality food. Not only did the food not taste fresh at all it had no flavor. The quality of the fish was terrible My kids didn't even eat their bento boxes, definitely won't be returning.

Don't waste your money on takeout from this restaurant. The sushi rolls are tiny. The shrimp tempura bowl is a few pieces of tempura and a scoop of plain, white rice. The ramen was underwhelming. There was nothing redeeming or worthwhile about this food. Ordering from literally anywhere else would be better.

Oishi is an absolute delight! The sushi is expertly crafted, bursting with fresh flavors. The menu offers a great variety of Japanese delicacies, and the service is attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant's ambiance is both elegant and relaxed, making it a perfect dining spot. A must-visit for sushi lovers and anyone who appreciates good Japanese cuisine. Five stars without a doubt!
