Love this bakery! We get bread from here everywhere week, za-atar, rye, sourdough, and wheat are all favorites. The pear almond cake is spectacular. If you have never tried a Cannelé, you are missing one of the most amazing pastries ever created. For a birthday, we ordered the Eclair cake. Many of those who enjoyed it declared it the best cake they had ever eaten. Luscious custard, rich ganache, delicate genoise? Beautiful chocolate flowers? And profiteroles? There many Bakeries in the San Fernando Valley, but in my opinion, after going to Edy Bakery on Topanga Cyn just north of Sherman Way for around 40 years, I still find their products better than any other bakeries products, even including Porto’s. Which is second on my list.
