Great food, welcoming servers, beautiful view of the ocean right from your seat. Sushi bar or tables, inside or outside seating. My husband and I were staying at a resort nearby and this was in perfect walking distance.

We had an amazing meal - the sashimi was melt in your mouth fresh and delicious, salmon teriyaki was nicely seasoned and cooked well. Mochi ice cream was a nice end to the meal.

Yoshi was our server, and she was extremely nice to our large party that consisted of a bunch of wild kids. This past Friday night. The food was excellent. Enjoyed the sunset. Next time, Yoshi needs to have some saki with us. We'll be back!

I do not believe you will find a better sushi place in Dana Point. Although technically based in Capistrano Beach, Good Choice Sushi by the Sea overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Dana Point harbor. With outdoor seating and friendly service, this is the best place to grab happy hour, celebrate special occasions, and enjoy a nice dinner. The fish is always in season and the owners frequently change their dishes and push the culinary boundaries of sushi to new heights.Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good value, on good fish, with a great dining experience.

I eat a lot of bougie sushi, and this place came as a complete surprise in terms of quality, presentation, and service. You absolutely need to make a stop into this place if you're looking for real sushi. If you eat a lot of sushi, you know what I'm talking about. Server Marina made this a super enjoyable experience. Great food but the service is slow. I feel sorry for the waitress that had to serve half of the restaurant by herself. I have been here several times and the service is always in panic mode. Always.
The volcano was the best thing ever in my life. We ate and watched the waves, it was a rainy day. The atmosphere is amazing. The food was to die for with that view.

It has patio seating, I recommend calling ahead during busy hours if you want to sit outside. The sushi chef was very attentive - I ordered the chef's choice 10 piece nigiri & oysters.
