I recently got to visit chunks sandwiches for the first time since they redid the menu, and it does not disappoint. I ordered the turkey bacon and pesto sandwich, the Drayton, and the Reuben, and all three of them were delicious. The bread is soft, and the ingredients are high quality and delicious. The clam chowder is also really solid, and was a great side. The food came out piping hot, and the service was beyond kind. This is my favorite sandwich I’ve had in Santa Cruz, and is my new go to!

Parking: Lots of parking right out front.

Chunks is a quality sandwich in an excellent location. Prices are great, the Ruben is one of the best I’ve ever had with their bread coming from the legendary crows nes, what’s not to love? The pastrami was cooked to perfection, the veggies were fresh the sauces were on point. I’ve had several sandwiches here and haven’t been disappointed. Give Chunks a try!

Parking: Shopping center parking , it’s always got spaces available.

🌟 **Review for Chunks Sandwiches** 🌟

I recently had the pleasure of trying out Chunks Sandwiches, and I must say, it’s an amazing spot! The new owners have truly elevated this place right next door to Magic Nails off Claire's.

The food is absolutely delicious! Each sandwich is crafted with care and full of flavor—definitely a must-try if you’re in the area.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy your meal. What truly stands out, however, is the service. The owners are super nice and genuinely care about their customers, which adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.

If you haven’t stopped by yet, I highly recommend giving them a chance. You won’t be disappointed! 🍽️❤️

The Drayton was absolutely delicious. I never stray from my typical ham & cheese sandwich but the Drayton had so many delicious looking flavors I had to give it a go. Highly recommend.

This place is ruined since Chunk’s took over. No combos, $7 for fries. Almost $30 for a meal. They made the sandwiches smaller with lower quality. Bad business. Incredibly over-priced. Not eating here again. They ruined the cheesesteak shop.

10/10 sandwich. Labor Day weekend just looking for some good food found this place! Atmosphere was great, cashiers was very friendly, and food was so good. Somehow was even better when I brought the other half home. SC local here will definitely be back!! Love you chunk u fuzzy pup <3

Under the new management, this once wonderful sandwhich shop has lost its allure.

Previously I would have said it was worth a trip to Santa Cruz for a Robbies Sanwhich alone. Now, I say skip "Chunks Sandwhiches" entirely.

My first time in Santa Cruz. I live in SF so maybe food like this is normal in Santa Cruz or maybe my standards are too high.

Food was edible and not repulsive. Got a meatball sandwich. However they somehow managed to remove the flavor out of every ingredient. There were whole cloves of garlic that tasted like nothing. I’m not sure how this is possible.

Apparently all the good reviews are from before an ownership change a month ago. The menu seems to be much smaller now.

Also ridiculous pricing for messing up something a child could easily put together at home.

From Joes to Robbie’s to now chunks, I feel like I can say I’ve experienced the evolution of the Philly cheesesteak offered here and it’s finally more like a Philly than it ever has been. Shout out to the thinly sliced beef they’re now using and the grilled onions and peppers! Great job Chunks!

This place is called Chunk’s now after the owner’s dog. Great sandwich spot. Philly or chicken cheesesteaks are awesome. Big selection.

I’m gonna start of like this. If you could give 0 stars, I would. I’ve been at this restaurant for the first time couple months ago, the lady at the front talked so well about the restaurant and how they got new owners and I should recommend everybody to come order and eat here. Well the first time was decent for the price. So I came a second time. All of a sudden they didn’t understand what I wanted to order but they still made it work. Okay cool. I came a third time. The lady at the cashier had to go in the back to the lady I ordered from the time before to ask what I was talking about. They couldn’t make it work whatsoever. They said the lady charged me wrong the other times and that they do not offer me what I have been ordering even though it’s something they offered me the first place. I asked if I could order it with the other lady but no, she was hiding in the back….Well that’s says it all, they just lost multiple customers. Too bad too sad.

Delicious. I had my lunch break in Capitola and saw this spot was open. The mall foodcourt isnt open before 11am. I ordered the breakfast sausage and egg sandwhich. Love it! Great service. Clean dining room. Food was made on the spot, bread is soft and toasted. Im definately coming back to try the other sandwhichs.
