Some of the best subs we’ve had in the area. Stopped in for a quick bite when traffic on Highway 1 was picking up, and so glad we did otherwise we could have missed this gem. Favoriting on Google maps to remember for the future!

Old owners were friendly and made a decent sandwich for about $10. Now it’s called Chunks (as in blow ….)? The place looks worn down, crabby service and the roast beast sandwich was the worst - bread was so stale it fell apart in the wrapper.. AND so poisoned in SALT that I couldn’t eat it. And it’s was $16!!!! To-go ..charging tax on to go food is not right. And no napkin.

How hard do you need to try to screw up a fresh sandwich and a decent shop?

oh my I'll be back great Philly cheese steak

I had the steak and cheese sandwich and it was bomb!! The steak was seasoned so well and super tasty. Perfect portion. Ariana at the counter was so sweet and helpful!

Chunk's Sandwiches is a fantastic place to eat. Prices a bit steeper that commercial chains, but for that extra money you're paying for exquisite food.

The sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients, making them flavorful and divine to eat. It's not a meal, it's an experience.

The staff are courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is fun, friendly, and clean. I feel the sandwiches are large enough to share (not that you'll want to) if you'd like to split the bill. I can't express how much I suggest this place to others.

Great spot for an easy lunch on the way to the beach! Their logo is so cute and interior features their mascot: the dog Chunk. Service is super friendly and kind as a family business.

They've got some great pre-built options for both toasty or cold sandwiches. I would highlight their Beach Box combo: 2 sandwiches, 2 chips, and 2 drinks for $36 total.

I opted to create my own sandwich for a simple turkey, avocado, and veggie build on a delicious sourdough bread. They've got a homemade garlic mayo which really took the sandwich over the top. My friend had their pesto mayo-- also a huge hit!

Sandwiches are a bit pricey, mine coming out to $18.48 with tax+tip (incl. +$2 for avocado). However, they definitely taste very homemade and fresh.

Absolutely bookmarking this spot for future trips down the coast.

Best sandwich I've had in a long time. Try the ham chicken pineapple. It will not let you down. I know it sounds different or strange but it is fire. 🔥 🔥

I just had the best egg salad sandwich! The bread was perfectly soft and fresh, and the eggs salad was traditional in the best way. I would highly recommend Chunk's!

I visited Chunks on my lunch break. The workers were very friendly and patient while i combed through the menu. I ordered a Chunk Factory (build your own) Chicken sandwich with veggies and garlic mayo. It was SOOO good. This was my first time trying it and I recommended it to my co workers for an addition to our work lunch spots. The chicken was well seasoned and the garlic mayo was bomb. It was $20 for a sandwich and a soda, which is typical now. Not too expensive but not a cheap spot either. I will definitely be back!
